1st Gen AMD Zen Performance In-Sight By China's Domestic Zhaoxin KH-4000 16 Core CPU.

The Zhaoxin CPUs are produced domestically for the Chinese consumer and server segment. We have already seen the consumer-level chips in action but this time, performance of the server-tier KH-4000 CPUs has been showcased. The performance was measured within the SPEC CPU2006 workload and focuses purely on the single-threaded performance.

As for performance, the SPEC CPU2006 Integer results show that the Zhaoxin KH-4000 16 Core CPU was mostly on par with the AMD EPYC 7601.

The first benchmarks of China's Domestic Zhaoxin KH-4000 CPU have appeared online and show performance close to AMD's first-gen Zen...

I wonder how Floating Point performance will be. Intel is now in the gpu market. We need a new opponent in the cpu world!

Asus is from taiwan as Msi and gigabyte. I don't see an issue except that everything is built there that for sure an issue. But that the government problem somewhat. If we end up in a war with china we are for sure in trouble!

Taiwan isn't controlled by China yet. The issue would be security. For the same reasons the US banned a bunch of Chinese phone manufacturers, for the same reason that using Kaspersky is a bad idea. Imagine something like Intel ME designed and controlled by the Chinese government.
