GravityMark GPU Benchmark

 Ran across this today and besides having some nice graphics,it test the GPU alone so you don't have to worry about cpu bottle necks effecting a score. It also works with multiple GPU's from what I read and older ones also(by older they referred to GTX1060's lol) They have it for Windows,Linux,Apple,and Android (yes,it even seems to do mobile graphics).

Finally, a GPU benchmark other than Heaven and Superpostion that's Linux native....oh and it can be used with Phoronix Test Suite for uploading results to OpenBenchmarking.org

 

Heres my run using Phoronix Test Suite.  This was my second attempt.  My first was trying Vulkan Ray Tracing which didn't work with AMD on Linux.

 

 

Here is my result uploaded to Openbenchmarking.org.  I've included the system logs for anyone that wants to look at them.  Not sure if the CPU was boosting correctly, the scaling_available_frequencies log only shows 3700 and 2200.  But I don't know if the log just shows base clock or boost clock.  I guess I'll have to run it again with MangoHUD running.

What I liked was while the test was running it showed my gpu speed & temps in real time which let me see that my OC's were still working/saved even with the EVGA software off. My temps were nice for my air cooled setup using 99% of the gpu's ability with processor,and memory OC's on it.

I don't know if the Linux version or Vulkan test doesn't show that or if it wasn't shown since I ran it through Phoronix Test Suite so I could send the results to Openbenchmarking.org.  It only showed fps.

I don't know,on Windows 10 full screen it was what I ran,took a screen shot & posted in the original post,was in upper left corner it showed FPS,visible(which i think means how many asteroids are showing at the time),the card,GPU freq,temp,and utilization.

Here's mine. This was with a +120 to core and +1000 to mem on the 3080 Ti with power limit set to 114%. Saw it hit as high as 2.08GHz, but would drop periodically during the run.

....just saw this thread - that's a neat benchmark ! ...Ran a quick one on the stock vbios; will add power vbios and 6900XT results later.... LOD on default, 4K, DX12

lol,y'all got them uppity cards while my little ole 2070(non-super) is still putting out over 70FPS in 4k,I think I might've actually got my monies worth with this thing....

I was never a fan of the original 2070. Nvidia tiered it down to the 60-class chip (TU-106) instead of the same chip class as the 2080, yet at the same time making it the most expensive 70-class card ever (at that point).

 

That said, seems to be a solid performer.

Right now (sure to change), both my 3090 and 6900XT are doing great in the GravityMark Leaderboard (below, my best runs per expanded fields), but that will surely change. I'll add 2x 2080 Tis a bit later as well as this bench allows for SLI... 

 

...ultimately, what really matters to me is that my cards perform very well for work, and of course gaming as well - that means that w/ my monitors, that should be 4K/120/HDR. With that in mind, I am in no hurry to add next-gen GPUs, though time will tell...

@Sir Beregond ...have you tried w/ Vulkan ? On my 3090, DX12 is faster than Vulkan but others w/ 3090/Ti below show the opposite. Vulkan does work best for the 6900XT setup though.

Can't say I have. Will try it.
