Artificial intelligence is going to be a central theme at Google’s annual developer conference on Wednesday, as the company is planning to announce a number of generative AI updates, including launching a general-use large language model (LLM), CNBC has learned.

According to internal documents about Google I/O viewed by CNBC, the company will unveil PaLM 2, its most recent and advanced LLM. PaLM 2 includes more than 100 languages and has been operating under the internal codename “Unified Language Model.” It’s also performed a broad range of coding and math tests as well as creative writing tests and analysis.

Wait, the Google doctor is correct 85% of the time? Does that leave them liable to malpractice lawsuits the other 15%? lol, My niece has been in the Hospital for the last 2 months while the doctors try to figure out what all's wrong with her, was she a test subject for Google Doctors?

It will be interesting to see how google deals with AI. They can't just ignore ChatGPT and BingChat, but anything that makes using the internet more efficient is going to cost google money. One of the best things about using BingChat for searches, no ads.

It's definitely shifted the dynamic of Google vs Microsoft heavily in Microsoft's favor in my opinion in terms of the future of the internet.
