How to participate:

During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902
You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username (if different than forum name) for prize eligibility.

Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone.

 

Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding!

 

Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you).

 

Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding.

Been crazy this past weekend, so didn't get the fourth card installed. Going to attempt at some point this week.

Also, I need to find time to check my spare section and see what I have available for prizes.

With some of these whopper 24 hour work units, if I get two of those, I may not be able to meet the 10 WU minimum in 48 hours.  I'll have 4 boxes CPU folding.  I might see if I can spin up an old server and maybe a laptop just to be safe.  Still looking forward to this contest!  I did the 96-hour one and it was fun.

Gonna have to sit this one out too. Temps are forecast to be too hot again. But looking forward to firing up the farm again as fall approaches. Fold on!

Try using just your single strongest GPU at a low power tuning like 125W. You should be able to get a respectable about of points and not heat up the house or run up the power.

If that's the case, running a 3060 for foldathons myself and seeing how long the WUs take compared to my 4090, I will lower the prize requirement to 5 WUs.

 

Wasn't really taking into account how long modern WUs take because the long ones you're probably getting are the ones that give me like 1.3m points. My 4090 chews through those in an hour and a half.
