Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone.

 

Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding!

 

Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you).

 

Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding.

The format of the original post really looks spot-on. I originally just wanted @firedfly to post this month's foldathon as a small training exercise, but he really nailed it. It goes to show you what a fresh set of eyes can do. There's more coming though. With the help of @iamjanco will will keep polishing the format. I really appreciate you guys.

 

Second order of business, I shall be donating a prize from the EHW merch store. It will again be a random draw prize, 5WU minimum, winner's choice of ball cap, or coaster+mug. See the "I'm representing thread" for some real images of the EHW swag.

I'm still planning on working the html/css for the competition notices. Got held up for a few days because my ancient W530 finally bit the bullet, so I had to make Muffler Bearings the workhorse. 

 

@Cerberus are we in this go around?

Speaking of which I need to fire up my folding rig and run windows updates. Then I need to work out one small problem with one of the quadros.

I don't have any recent comparison numbers, but I don't think much has changed in the last few years.  You should see higher PPD/unit on Linux vs Windows.  I haven't really ran anything on Windows in many years, but the PPD on Linux was always at least 5% higher than on Windows back when I was actually doing some comparison tests.

I run an RTX 4090 overclocked in Linux 24/7.

 

I'm pretty sure the PPD is significantly higher. Though how much, I don't know. I can say that most people say a 4090 should be good for 25m/day the most I've ever done is 36m *actual points* in a day. If I'm lucky with WU assignment lately, I can do 27~28m points in a day. If it's a bad day I do 22m or even just 20m.

 

Got both cards running and overclocked. The 3060 is OCed and crunching in Windows in my wifes rig.

I have the 4070 Ti, 2080 and one 3090 up now. I've got a new waterblock that's been mocking me for months for the 3080ti so I'll try and get that installed, leak checked, and folding tomorrow.

 

The other 3090s have been busy rendering lately but I might be able to spin those up for a few hours as well
