4x Delta AUB0712VH vs 3x Delta AUB0912VH? Which performs better cooling a GPU?

Recommended Posts

What is your opinion on AUB0712VH vs AUB0912VH? Which performs better? I have 4x AUB0712VH on my AMD Radeon RX Vega GPU right now but I bought the AUB0912VH to replace them & improve performance but with just 3 fans. Will it run cooler with the AUB0912VH x3? Thanks

ideally you should build a shroud and lift the fans up off of the fins

I'd personally prefer the higher CFM of the AUB912VHs. Cumlatively, they're moving more air. (4x31=122CFM | 3x68=204CFM)
Then again, I'm the kinda person that puts a 9CR0812P8S03 +12V 5.5A dual-motor SanAce80, on an MI25. 😆 (loudest fan I've yet had the 'pleasure' of hearing 1st-hand.)

Edit:

The 70mm AUB0712VH appears to be 31CFM (but, I cannot find a 1st-party datasheet)

The 92mm AUB0912VH is ~68CFM

  • 2 weeks later...

I just ordered 3x AVC DS12025B12U 12V 1.05A 12CM 12025 double ball bearing 4-pin PWM DC fans.

Can you tell me about them?  Because I looked up the data sheet on AVC which was hard to find & I cannot find it again, as I lost the page.  I found that they don't list a 1.05A version of the fan, so that means if the 0.7A they list does 130cfm or so, then it should be louder & faster right?

Thanks

@Memmento MoriWow now thats cool man!  I wish I had the money for a RDNA 2 GPU.  I want the Powercolor Red Devil 6800 XT.  I just need to upgrade my system to 64GB RAM because games are sucking down as much as 45GB of Total Commit with 5K Epic details & 24GB HBCC on a Vega 56 Red Dragon with Vega 64 Red Devil BIOS.

How do you like your 6900 XT?  What does your hotspot run in game at about 2700Mhz core?  My 6600 XT when I had it would hit 106C, but after replacing the fans with Deltas & adding a RX 480 X-Clamp to the 6600 XT, it ran a solid 79C or so.

I'm loving the power efficiency of this Vega GPU though.  I have it running 0.900V @ 1675Mhz Core, which is amazing only using like 180W.

Tell me all about your journey with your gaming on the 6900 XT and clocks and temps & maybe even throw me a video of the Morpheus Cooler and a Gameplay Video showing your OSD with the GPU stats including All Temp Sensors on the card including the Hotspot & the power consumption etc etc etc.

Thanks
