The GB202 Blackwell GPU is the flagship processor for the new family of GeForce RTX 50 series. It was initially rumored to feature a 512-bit memory bus, only to see rumors about a 384-bit memory bus later. However, leakers now claim that the GB202 does indeed have a 512-bit bus, though this configuration may not be used by the RTX 5090.

Panzerlied, the same leaker who revealed the RTX 5090 Founder’s Edition PCB design claiming it uses three parts (now also confirmed by Kopite7kimi), has now stated that the RTX 5090 is not using a 512-bit bus but a 448-bit one instead. This implies that the RTX 5090 may not use all 16 available memory modules but only 14.

I have no doubt Nvidia will continue to skimp on vram on the rest of the 5000 series stack.
