Meanwhile, this is not the case with the Ryzen 9000 series desktop parts as the spec sheet of that says:

Don't care about Ryzen AI. It doesn't apply to Ryzen 9000 desktop CPUs, which is presumably what would be the most relevant to people here.

Assuming Microsoft doesn't extend support for Windows 10, it makes sense just based on the timing. Does feel a little arbitrary though.

Not surprised. Thankfully, I am okay with Win11 and can make it basically like 10 or even 95 with the desktop metaphor and desktop icons. I have a few utilities I use to disable telemetry and Copilot. (WinAeroTweaker) So I'm familiar with it now.

 

Not in the market for a new laptop anyway given that our current one almost never gets used.
