It should hit thermal limits and start downclocking a bit to stay somewhat safe. I did some folding on my laptop GeForce 850M, 125k ppd on the gpu maxing out at 80c with a few mhz drop from hitting thermal limits.

I don't know about a laptop, but this is what happens when you crunch World Community Grid on a phone.

Yes it was.  It still works with that battery.  I just don't want to risk burning my house down.  I didn't use it for anything other than crunching WCG 24hrs a day while it sat on my kitchen counter.  That was the second battery, I never bought a third....it was time to let go.
