We knew DDR5 was coming, glad to see them hitting these speeds at these voltages this early on.  It is yet to be seen at what timings though.

 

With DDR5 in testing like this, it might not be long till we see an announcement for AM5 sockets with DDR5 support.  I doubt we will see AM4+ this time around, AM4 has more than enjoyed its stay at this point.

Great so getting myself an old setup with 64gb ddr3 1600 ecc with a xeon e5 2697 v2 was a good idea.

 

Did think ddr4 was not really good performance price wise for high speed.

 

Am5 and a 16-24 core with ddr5 would be insane!

Where I work I saw an NDA slide that showed workstation systems being released in 2022 with DDR5

Looks promising, AM5 should be announced this year I would imagine.
