No worry just got my laptop motherboard replaced by an in home tech. Did a great job and i think i will be able to fold with the 1050ti now! pushing 300-500k for some reason idk if it a bug or not haha.

a large competition... hmm interesting.  Soon temps here will start warming up and I'll have to sit out these competitions, but for now I'll be joining in.

I can live with those 2 days of heat, but I think I won't be folding 24/7 anymore next summer. 
Last year I did it for the cause, but there are limits to what is healthy

This room is on the "hot" side of the house with no shade and only a 6000BTU A/C... I don't even game in here during the day on summer days anymore... Back some years ago I messed up real bad and built an AMD FX system with two 7950's in crossfire.... that would push temps in here past 30C even with the AC on full blast... It's actually why I made this build the way I did, more cores than I need, but that way I get a better bin so I can get away with much less voltage and set a lower power limit.  still get good multicore performance, and not loose any single core, but only at 65w... less than half what this chip on this motherboard pulls at stock settings... GPU I undervolt and lower power limit in the summer or when folding... of coarse when it's freezing cold like it's been, I do a one click bios profile change and a GPU power profile change and let the power flow lol.... But I digress, still, while I can, I'll be joining in on the folding team's competitions.

I feel your pain. I have a small office for all my gear, so the heat does get pumped out. I installed an extraction fan to pull cool air from outside through the room and out into our landing however during summer it will likely not suffice and the AC unit will be deployed. It is only a portable one, though it is wicked...not sure if it will cope haha. 

 

Oh and yes we have a rather large competition coming up this month, to be announced very soon. Hint hint, we have hardware sponsors
