  1. Nvidia RTX 3000 LHR cards' limiter partially bypassed, increasing mining performance to 70% WWW.TECHSPOT.COM You might remember that we’ve been here before. Back in March, soon after it released the RTX 3060 that... Surprised this took as long as it did.
  2. Hmm I wonder if this is because it's early ddr5 or if this will be typical. I don't remember this being the case with ddr3 vs ddr4.
  3. Edited for formatting. Titles don't have to perfectly match the article you're quoting especially if it's a long title that can easily be shortened but it should at least be based on the same wording, abbreviated as needed. Sounds like a typical lobbying group. I suspect their claims of who supports them are somewhat exaggerated, or based on really flimsy connections. I can't imagine Obama would volunteer to be a lobbyist for a shady group like this, or any president really... with perhaps one exception. I've seen this in the news and I thought about posting it, but there's a lot of new about this ongoing case so I try not to overdo it, though this does seem like bigger news especially if this bill gains any traction. Would be great if they could add in something about loot box gambling systems as well, in an ideal world.
  4. This $750 self-transforming Optimus Prime is Hasbro’s ultimate toy WWW.THEVERGE.COM Preorders should now be live. Slow news day, so a little entertainment news to fill the void. $750 is way more than I would pay, but still a very cool little toy. Now we just need a full sized version.
  5. Indeed. Those cliffs are nice because you can get really low in the tight spaces with a small plane or fit a 747 a little higher up. I've been trying to find more places like this. Nepal is a good area, probably a lot prettier but not the same kind of cramped canyons to fly through. Couple more screens:
  6. maybe this will work: OneDrive Client for Linux ABRAUNEGG.GITHUB.IO A free Microsoft OneDrive Client for Linux, which supports OneDrive Personal, OneDrive for Business, OneDrive for Office365 and Sharepoint, and fully supports Azure National Cloud Deployments...
  7. The Radeon RX 6600 XT is the most efficient mining card available today. (guru3d.com) An otherwise uninteresting card will now probably be one of the most overpriced.
  8. I think you have to run it without a reference CPU and without checking any reference boxes to get a normal score. I didn't even know you could make it give you a reference percentage. Normally it will just be a number, like for example a 7700k would score about 520 in single threaded for cpuz.
  9. When the game first came out I tried it with a controller but I didn't have this kind of issue. If you like the game it's worth it to get a joystick. I got one recommended to me in this thread on eBay. This is the same one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144142469888?hash=item218f8f8b00:g:jjIAAOSwldthDCHJ
  10. Chip delivery times reach record levels of 20 weeks as shortage drags on WWW.TECHSPOT.COM We’ve heard multiple stories regarding the ongoing chip shortage and how long it could potentially stretch on... news like this is why they say no news is good news.
  11. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with this, but whenever I see this thread, I think about Armored Core.
  12. If you get a chance can you run the bench on CPUz? It's just a quick ~30 second test.
  13. MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming X review - DX11: The Witcher III Wild Hunt (guru3d.com) TLDR: It's usually pretty close to a 1080Ti or a 2070 but can fall far behind in a few games like The Witcher 3.
  14. IDK about this one specifically but there are lots of DYI kits for handhelds like it.
  15. Just something that will test. The CPU and give it a comparable score. 3d mark could work, or even just cpuz. Side note, is it smokey up there for you? Very smokey here in CA.
  16. Damn 4.8ghz, that's really impressive for that CPU. I wonder how it benches at that clock speed.
  17. Modder creates custom PlayStation 2 handheld using original console hardware WWW.TECHSPOT.COM The journey started a few years back when GingerOfOz purchased a used PlayStation 2 on eBay. Having recently completed a portable Wii build, the modder intended to... PS2 Eclipse — GingerOfMods WWW.GINGEROFMODS.COM Just some entertainment news. With the Steam Deck being announced and the Switch being so successful, seeing this got me thinking; I bet if Sony released a Switch-like device that could natively play PS2 and Vita games while having a little extra power for new game to be made for it, I bet it would sell really well.
  18. If a vCPU in Microsoft terms is similar then the pricing makes a lot more sense. Kinda weird that it's so hard to find any actual specs though.
  19. OG source: Corsair DDR5 Memory Alt source: Corsair: DDR5 memory will need better cooling as VRMs move to the module WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Many believe DDR4 and older modules do not generate enough heat to justify the use of heatsinks, but because of some inherent changes of DDR5 memory, it... I wouldn't be surprised if water cooling for ram became a trend for people with more money than sense... might actually look kinda cool though.
  20. The rig creator is really cool. My only criticism is that it takes up a lot of space on mobile. IMO rigs should have a collapsed tab or just be scaled down a bit.
  21. 80mm LED fans... fok yes! I remember that smell of warm air being slow pumped over a dirty carpet and unhygienic teens like I just left the lan center.
  22. I was going to rant about the pricing model but before I go on a tangent, does anyone know what they mean by "vCPU"? I'm assuming that means 1 thread but I haven't found a clear answer. If it is 1 thread, the pricing is terrible. If it's something else, maybe it does make sense.
  23. Microsoft pauses free Windows 365 cloud PC trials after ‘significant demand’ WWW.MSN.COM Windows 365 lets you stream a cloud PC to a web browser Still in the free trial phase so not too shocking but I wonder if interest will hold once people have to pay for it. I struggle to see any value in this given that the pricing is so steep.
