  1. Pink lights, pink border on your F@H stats. You have no choice, it's been decided. If it were up to me, I would help you get out of it somehow, but it's just not up to me.
  2. Well now you both have to put on EHW bikini's and fight to the death for the title of EHW Gamer Girl. @Fluxmaven, you've been challenged.
  3. Yes, 100% if you plan to have more than one.
  4. 1. Yes, they will work with win 10 Pro. 2. In my experience on windows based platforms they are very finicky. I try to put them on a board where the only driver installed is a tesla one. An iGPU board would be the best solution, second preference would be a quadro for display out, they tend to be less conflicting than with GeForce drivers. 3. Overclocking is only minimally possible, there is no default core OC or MEM OC in AB. All the sliders are disabled by default. You can however vBIOS mod them with Maxwell BIOS Tweaker. You will have to play with it and see what will work for you. 4. $70 Is a good deal for the card, yes. Assuming it is functional. You will thermal throttle if you try to load the card 100% while on passive cooling. I think I still have an extra 3D printed shroud with fan for the M40's. They are loud AF, but you will not be able to fold without REALLY good active cooling, I promise.
  5. That should tell you just how powerful the 4090 is at folding. I have a 3090, 3070Ti, 3070 and 3060Ti folding and together they still dont put out over 28 million PPD.
  6. Artifacts are almost entirely related to an unstable mem OC. Luckily F@H is vastly more dependent on Core OC rather than MEM. Putting your card on water and removing the fan wattage obligation and at times underclocking the mem creates a slight improvement in the core OC capability. I have not been as zealous with F@H as I used to be, but with 2080Ti's I would tweak every last drop I could out of the core.
  7. Of course! And I would be very curious to see if a RAM OC yields any significant PPD improvement for the 4090, as it certainly has not with older gens.
  8. No one expects you to contribute prizes for every foldathon. This is not the first event where prizes have been issued either by individual members or through EHW directly. But you assume correct, if you offer a prize, you are responsible for getting it to the winner. They are however responsible for getting their contact information to you in a timely manner if they expect to collect.
  9. Yes. The site is every three hours. Also, sometimes it will miss an update, but the completed WUs will usually turn up on the very next update. FYI, you should not OC your RAM for folding. Core OCs only. There is no benefit to RAM OC at least not on any cards I own. This may have changed on the 4000 series, but I highly doubt it.
  10. Need window fans drawing air in. I have this one in the dungeon and it works very well. https://www.amazon.com/Genesis-Designs-A1WINDOWFAN-Avalon-Window/dp/B01CK64AQG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1549KHXL9B9BK&keywords=dual+window+fan&qid=1674441488&sprefix=dual+window+fan%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-3
  11. You beat me to it. This is indeed very good news.
  12. Seems like a cool idea. We briefly touched on this last night about your expectations for participation and discord streaming support. If I am on when you are streaming, i'd watch for a bit.
  13. That is really cool. One of these days I am going to have to try 3D printing. It's going to be like learning a foreign language though.
  14. He owns more than one 4090, I can promise you that. Tell him we found him because his team was listed as a "Threat" to overtake EHW on the extremeoverclocking stats page. Thats what lead me to take a look at this new rando team with one member that will overtake our entire team in a year and a half.
  15. My guess would be quad 4090's and maybe a 3 series? I checked out his youtube page and there was one video on it related to a 3990X build! Quad 4090's on a TR 3990X? That should equate to 20 mil 3 hour updates.
  16. Can someone please find THIS guy and bring his folding powa to EHW? I did some preliminary stalking, but I don't use social media, so I could not complete the stalk.
  17. It's going to have to be @bonami2. I have not had an issue with this and am able to access the unread content and mark the site read through the top right "Hamburger" menu.
  18. I haven't noticed any issues with unread content or marking site read on mobile lately.
  19. I still need to redo the EHW Toe Tags. "Pushed PAST the limit".
  20. Sigh, the O11D. No crazy questions about that on this forum YET.
  21. There were ever only two real players (X1, Afterburner) for modern cards. There are quite a few tools out there for legacy cards. From the reading I did, MSI will pick up the torch and carry afterburner forward, but who knows how long that will take and what support for what cards will be effected along the way. You are right about X1 support.
