  1. Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about OpenCL/CUDA/Vulkan? AFAIK, OpenCL is all you can run.
  2. Not sure if it did, but it looked like it. Didn't smell a distinct smoke odor.
  3. Unfortunately the card has no display out. I spent about 2 hours on it last night. I think it suffered for too long in that storage locker. Its ashame too because I fully restored the damn thing. I may play with it later, trying different display outs however its not recognized in GPUz or control panel so...
  4. AM4 is EOL, yes. Personally I would wait unless you NEED it now. New offerings from AMD set to drop this year anyway. DDR5 is already starting to come down in price and we should start to see 4 series offerings from NVIDIA by Q3 of this year. If it's purely for gaming, it would be hard for me not to recommend Alder Lake right now if you were to pull the trigger tomorrow. Budget Intended use for build Timescale Preference on manufacturer Does power consumption matter Intend to OC ????
  5. You are looking at 2x80 GB WD drives and a 1GB HD5770. I eyeballed it when he brought it in and told him $30. I had been looking at these cards on ebay recently and one in really good condition (Which you can see this one isn't) are going for $30-40. Hardly worth the time it would take to restore it, but hey I love restoring old tech. I think he's more interested on what is on the drives. The one you can't see has Win 8 in permanent marker written on it. I'll probably ask him to keep the card and slap the drives on my LGA 775 bench to see what they hold. There is visible rust on the aluminum components which leads me to believe the stuff had been sitting in the storage lockers for quite a long time in high humidity. I'll probably soak the heatsink and PCB in a 91% iso bath for 24 hours. Also an extension cord for the datavac will come in handy, don't want to pressure clean that stanky stuff indoors.
  6. You know how on PAWN stars and storage wars when they buy or want to buy things they don't know about and they say "I know a guy" to bring in and look at items? Yea, apparently I've become that guy. Walked into work this morning and a co-worker who had been playing around with bidding on storage lockers brought by a GPU and a few HDDs to be evaluated. He wanted to know if they worked, value and if there were any cool games on the HDDs.
  7. All installed. Get to turn them on in a month. This is part of the system.
  8. Ali Express. I am sure the one Der8auer is making will be high quality, but I doubt the Thermalright one will be much different (If it's not actually a knockoff). Either way, I hope its good, I promised Liquidhaus one. lol I think it may be time we made a spinoff thread about this.
  9. The only thing I can think of is adequate compression of the block to the die. The 1700 platform is already infamous with contact pressure while mounted. Were you able to confirm with thermal paste before applying LM? I know it is common practice to coat the die AND the top of the IHS or in your case water block. It is possible that there isn't enough contact pressure and you wouldn't know if you pre-coated the block too. If it is any consolation, I did order the thermal right mounting kit (God knows when it'll arrive) and can let you know how that works out if you decide to go back to copper IHS.
  10. Pretty sure this is something to do with FAH Core 22. IIRC you need a specific driver or something to that effect. Even though the requirements for FAH Core 22 weren't listed specifically. I had trouble with older Teslas saying disabled too. What drivers are you on? 11. This is what you do when you are tired of constant distilled flushes.
  12. I do too, for both your sakes.
  13. Got to love Chinese plastic kits. Usually only need a couple, end up with enough for a lifetime.
  14. Man I hope this turns out good for you. I don't know what it is, but I just don't trust this kit. Do you think you would be able to polish some of that acrylic too?
  15. Glad you figured this out. I knew your B-Die could hit 3600 easily. Can probably do more if you ever wanted.
  16. He can't source better than 70% where he is in Canadia. I offered to ship him some, but he's Canadian and apologized while saying no.
  17. You have GOT to tell us where you got your manicure from.
  18. Looking good Kyle. Needs more cowbell water cooling.
  19. They all have URL extensions. Are you sure you restored them correctly? There should be a path to the icon image as well as the .exe
