  1. Oh man, memories. I remember my Iomega zip drive from back in the day. 8x Write/4x Re-write. Did you really have to go retro on that spec though? That speed is painful. Though damn decent for E-IDE
  2. Had a bit of time to work on the rig tonight. The X5470 arrived and is modded and installed. I attached the CPU block, NB and SB blocks. There was 1 mosfet block, but of course the other did not fit so I had to make one. I will be attaching a 25mm fan to the cpu mount that aims over the 1 mosfet block that is not on water. The 4th 660Ti also arrived and survived a Cloudgate run. I think it's safe to transition it to water. Once complete, all the blocks should be installed and ready to go. Before: Crafting Mosfet B heatsink. After with all blocks installed.
  3. I can tell you first hand that Tesla and Quadro drivers do not play nice with each other. You are much better off getting a GT710 to run display off of basic Microsoft drivers. Mixing and matching any drivers with Tesla drivers just leads to headaches. I had tried numerous times to flash a Titan x BIOS on the M40, it was one of the first things I tried. I was not able to do it successfully. Even with NVflash board mismatch and ID checks bypassed, no luck. I hope you have better luck than I did. I've got 6 dead M40's you are welcome to have for the cost of shipping if you wanted to play with it. I broke 6 of them so you don't have to. Where do you think my avatar came from? I have probably done more with M40's than anyone else here and would be glad to help you if I can. The last thing i'll suggest is they absolutely need active cooling. Do a mod like @Bastiaan_NL or one of the ones you can find off ebay. You won't be able to get temps low enough to not be thermal throttled without it. Someone on OCN was able to run an M40 as their primary GPU with video passthrough on another card with output. I would have to search for it though, I didn't save the link.
  4. Not worth any points. Therefor not worth my time.
  5. All your 3070Ti scores are belong to us.
  6. So you want a room where you would be the only participant, talking to yourself?
  7. Awesome! Hope they don't cost a 1st born child to acquire. Will be fun to test on the Z690.
  8. At least the "Started XY hours ago" part for sure. I don't really care when a thread was created as much as I care when it was last updated or commented on.
  9. Sexy! Tell me moar about those black and grey socks. Where can I get a pair of those?
  10. This is a good idea. Those people who made those guides have to be lured here to make them. Problem is they are driven by people asking for them and no one is here. Catch 22. Most of us here don't need guides. @ENTERPRISE Will make a $100 quid donation to the site if you ban @The Pook
  11. Image links appear broken to me. Did you cut and paste the text from another site to here without loading the images in?
  12. Very keen observation. I think you are right about that point. There is for sure no content generated on the forums by reviews. The color, font and size of the article text is generated by us, so it should be able to be tweaked. I agree that the high contrast red often clashes with the background images.
  13. You can find that story here.
  14. That would be an M40 that caught fire during one of my many failed projects. It became my avatar. Can find the toe tag sticker on it somewhere around the site.
  15. Welcome @Storm-Chaser. Whatever brought you over here?
  16. The site already is enjoyable and where I spend most of my free time. We could stand for a few more active members. You stated that you would be focusing on marketing and such this year so it should self resolve.
