  1. Up next is an EVGA 670. Usual restoration to optimal operating standards.
  2. Loop is up running coolant and 24 hour leak test.
  3. I know your right. TBH I'm almost done with this card. I did flip the 2 .25mv switches and i'm still getting 1.215 max. Card still wont get more than 272w. I have been getting some decent points for the HWbot season so i'm not completely pissed about it. Managed 6th on Time Spy even at 1.215v and 272w max. Good for 20 points.
  4. I have no idea why NVflash is not displaying your devices. =/
  5. Command line is wrong. It should be C:>NVflash --list Make sure NVFlash and the .sys file are in your C folder, not in it's own folder. Then whichever is the 980 C:>NVflash index=0 980.rom NVM, it shouldn't matter if it's in it's own folder, you had the path right. I am not sure why it's not working.
  6. So far no joy. XOC bios Bricked one of the 3 vBIOS and had to get out the trusty GT710 to save it. I can't find a manual for the 4 PCB switches on the back of the card and it's frustrating. My understanding is that there are 2x.25mv switches and 2x protection switches. I just cant figure out which ones are which. I played with the classified tool, however it was not able to change voltage at all. I can only assume it is because of the voltage protection switches. I'll have to pop it out again and try another configuration. Access Denied FORUMS.EVGA.COM
  7. Huh. I don't think I knew you were in North Kakalaka too. Asheville.
  8. Oh, c'mon. He's got me by 30 years. He's a boomer for cryin out loud. Where you at in the souf?
  9. They are forecasting 18" here starting in tomorrow night. Should also be good for benching.
  10. I actually think I have a win 2000 server key if you need it. I'll double check later.
  11. No, it's not. I flashed the 980 with it being my primary display. Could be different with other cards, but I doubt it.
  12. Yea so I'm an effing idiot. Why didn't anyone tell me there is a voltage protection switch on kingpins? I'll have to remove the backplate and look this weekend.
  13. I have 0 knowledge about flashing headless cards. I have always relied on active flashing via admin CMD panel to verify the flash takes. Any of the Linux guys here who use command line text would probably be better equipped to help you with headless flashing. GL Cerb.
  14. Hard to beat Fired's response. What card did he get added?
  15. That is a sweet ass card. It has no display out correct? I assume maybe it's driver conflict related. I have only ever encountered disabled with Tesla's and when trying to run different varieties of cards in the same system.
  16. Unless you are benching, NEED an upgrade or are crazy, you aren't missing out on anything. I promise.
  17. You and BWG might be related. How bout some updated pics on your sig?
  18. You are a God. Thanks toc. I changed the power limit to 450w and it's not pulling half of it. I assumed it was some weird issue requiring different tools.
  19. Thanks for that. Will look into it. I respect your technical prowess and you are obviously able to do something me and cerb arent yet. Despite the fact that I have successfully vbios volt modded pascal, keplar and maxwell previously, you are making me feel like a reddit kid. I really would hate to flash an XOC onto a kingpin. I need to look harder for a better bios.
  20. I have listed links to all the software you would need in the thread that I made about the king pen 980
  21. I have done a fair amount of research and spent countless hours recently attempting to mod the vbios. No joy. Voltage is HARD LOCKED on my KPE. Can you link me a better BIOS perhaps? I would owe you one. I am also aware that 1500MHz is "Childs Play" I don't post without testing extensively testing first and I am ALWAYS game to be wrong. I would love to go balls deep into 1700MHz, but despite multiple attempts with M Tweaker, I have not been successful. Most all of the research I did mirrors the inability to get past 1.2v Will try to use afterburner this weekend. /img/logo.png AvacadoEHW`s 3DMark - Cloud Gate score: 63979 marks with a GeForce GTX 980 HWBOT.ORG The GeForce GTX 980 @ 1620/2053MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark - Cloud Gate benchmark. 22. Finally broke 10k Port Royal with the 3070Ti. /img/logo.png AvacadoEHW`s 3DMark - Port Royal score: 10006 marks with a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti HWBOT.ORG The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti @ 1770/1388MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark - Port Royal benchmark. 23. If you run into any snags, i'm more than happy to help. I am quite certain that drivers have limited OCing over the years. You should spend time trying to find day one drivers for the cards. I wager that might be different. I did google what you did and it does look like people were having success OCing it. I tried all 3 versions of NVFlash, but none would flash the card. I have since sold the pair, so I can't try anymore.
  24. 980TI's ARE vBIOS modifiable. Regular 980's are NOT. It is the exact same Maxwell bios editor, you will just need the version of NVFlash with ID mismatch.
