  1. Well I attempted to delid my GTX 275 today. As you can see I was quite poor with it and indeed killed the card. I did get stock cooler as high as I could before I tried so at least got that submitted. The idea with the delid was to mount the Koolance GPU-210 universal block to it and see what else I could get out of it. /img/logo.png SirBeregondEHW`s 3DMark03 score: 65316 marks with a GeForce GTX 275 HWBOT.ORG The GeForce GTX 275 @ 708/1212MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark03 benchmark. SirBeregondEHWranks #2868 worldwide and #125 in the hardware class. Find out more at HWBOT. Here's the carnage...
  2. Sounds about right, misbranding confirmed. I guess also tricky with how much oversupply they had of 6800, 6800XT, 6900XT, 6950XT cards which were already hitting those lower prices.
  3. Good read Pio and really just love the dinosaur theme in your build!
  4. So the GTX 275 is interesting. Got close to 62k and then overclocked it barely a little more and now getting 23k. Maybe driver crashing per @Bastiaan_NL, not sure. Clocks don't seem too high at 700/1200/1500. Did fine at 688/1190/1480.
  5. I used to have an LG 32" 1440p VA panel and I could never quite put my finger on why, but you are right, the test was never the clearest. Now that makes sense.
  6. Officer, I'm just holding it for @Avacado, honest!
  7. Actually I believe Motorola was the first. But Apple made it popular and set the trend in the industry. Anyway, I agree. I am not overly impressed by annual phone releases by either side. "Innovation" - yeah right.
  8. Man I remember this video Complete with the Fraps watermark too.
  9. So I actually got quite the leak on this game. See below if you dare..
  10. Let me know when the Starfield equivalent of OBSE/SKSE comes out for modding.
  11. Yeah I think there is definitely a lot of that for sure. AMD really had tons of Navi 21 to still sell off. Same as Nvidia with GA104/106.
  12. I expect to see a milkshake machine in your future at some point.
  13. See this is where the "XTX" for the 7900 just didn't make sense. They could have just called it the 7900XT with the current 7900XT being called the 7900 or even 7800XT, while this 7800XT would be perfect as the 7800. But what do I know? And then clearly they are following the same playbook as the launch price of the 7900XT with the launch price of the 7700XT. Anyway, you are right though, they both play these games with naming schemes. I'll at least give AMD credit for leaving this one at a reasonable price for what it is, despite the naming.
  14. More branding shenanigans. The 6800XT was a 72 CU part (4608 stream processors) on the bigger Navi 21 chip. The 7800XT, presumably its name sake replacement is 60 CU (3840 stream processors) on the second tier Navi 32 chip. At least the price makes sense and they aren't trying to pass it off as a $600-$700 card like Nvidia would.
  15. It was coming from Ukraine? That's interesting considering.
  16. GeForce 4 is a category. We could use a submission there as @Avacado mentioned. /img/logo.png Overclocking, overclocking, and much more! Like overclocking. HWBOT.ORG HWBOT is a site dedicated to overclocking. We promote overclocking achievements and competitions for professionals as well as enthousiasts with rankings and a huge hardware database.
  17. Well I lost the bidding on the 3300X I found on eBay. Glad you found one!
  18. Some of the Nvidia cards categories need 1150 socket stuff. I'm using my 4790k for the GTX 275 and SLI 650 Ti Boost runs. 10900 (10 core right?) would work for one of the DDR4 runs I think. Just take a look at the different categories here: /img/logo.png HWBOT Team CUP 2023 @ HWBOT HWBOT.ORG Level 2 OC-ESPORTS competition running from 2023-07-15T12:00 till 2023-09-15T12:00. Oh man, I shouldn't have bid on one on eBay this morning.
  19. Yeah pissed me off because I was going to run my 5900X in it.
  20. That second one won't work for the 5900X, notice no 12 cores allowed.
