  1. Haha, I forgot about this clip. Too bad it cut off his response to "bonjour". "Crazy gibberish!"
  2. Thanks! Yeah that other way was bothering me, so this will work for now.
  3. Thanks, will take a look at that for the future. This was bugging me and I realized my error. They did make a bigger extension, what I should have ordered was the 15mm instead of the 10mm. So I opted to do a Micro Center run. They don't carry any of the fittings in the brass/gold finish, but I figured let's see what a white extension does for it. I don't know, what do you think? I think it at least works for now. Hmm I was under the impression that much more than 0.6 bar was too much. I may give that a shot then and retest it. I did another test tonight after redoing that area, at 0.5 bar and it held without going down at all for an hour. Anyway, I did a little more cable work in the back to help with the 12-pin Nvidia extension. I also added 4 cable combs to it to help keep it in check. I think it helped a ton. Anyway, here is the completed loop. I may try a different orientation in the future, but for now, I think this ended up alright for a first attempt at hard line. I am unsure if I would ever do hard line again to be honest. But glad I gave it a try.
  4. Hmm wish they made an extension that was just slightly bigger. Wasn't quite long enough. Had to put a very slight bend to offset the straight tube run. Not the most elegant solution, but will work for now. I also went ahead and leak tested. I had the EK tester and read it was wrong with where they put the "green zone" on it (typical EK... ) and attached to where my drain port is and measured it holding at 0.5 bar for 1 hour. It didn't drop even a little bit, so guessing that means its good to go. Anything else I should do with that? Anyway, plan to fill it up tomorrow as its late and I also want to redo a couple cable runs in the back.
  5. Yeah I played main game and Hearts of Stone. Started Blood and Wine and then got distracted I guess and never got back to it.
  6. Shelob as a cocktail waitress? What? Yeah you just reminded me that I never finished Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. Guess something to add to the list for me.
  7. Never finished the first State of Decay, so I've been playing that.
  8. Think I got that for free but haven't installed/tried it yet.
  9. Seems reasonable. higher clocks on Zen 3 vs 2.
  10. Will let you know when I start using mine. Hoping to finish rig this week or early next depending on time this weekend (we may go away). Will say I've heard that the 5800X tends to run hotter as its a higher concentration of heat generation in one spot by nature of 1 full 8-core ccx compared to say the 5600X with one 6-core ccx, or the 5900X with 12 cores, but spread out over two 6-core ccx's, so there's a little more heat distribution into the IHS by nature of that vs the 5800X. That said, I've also heard others say they haven't seen a big difference, so who knows.
  11. Man that takes me back. Antec 300 was one of my first cases and while not mine, we had another PC in the house in a 900. Great cases for what they cost.
  12. My Corsair PSUs have always lasted a very long time, so I keep buying them. Just have to make sure you don't buy the crappy models, example an RM1000 vs a RM1000X. But basically all my old TX and AX PSUs are a decade or older at this point, that said, am phasing them out. I don't know who their OEM is now for the good units, but I know some of the older ones were Seasonic. I also like that they do have sleeved cable packs you can buy separately since I don't trust most cable extensions and such. But that's about all I like from Corsair still these days. EDIT: Also they replaced an AX1200 for me back in the day when I broke the fan on accident with no hassle. So they've done fine by me in the PSU department.
  13. Yeah, I am not suggesting that people don't have lives within some digital spaces, but I think it definitely behooves parents to make it healthy time spent. But as someone without kids myself, this is just me talking. I generally err on the side of less regulation and more personal responsibility in most things in life. Not saying that doesn't result in most of society going down the wrong path sometimes.
  14. I finally played through all 3 Bioshocks (1 and 2 for the first time), in 2020 when we all got sent home. My personal opinions on them are as follows: 1: A masterpiece in world building, atmosphere, fun gameplay, and a great story. Fantastic game. 2: This one was the dud in the series for me and felt like an absolute slog to get through in my opinion. Infinite: I didn't think it was really bad, but it was definitely a slog as well. That said it had a one up over 2 in my opinion as the atmosphere and world building was still fun and a nice contrast to 1. But yeah, it was very repetitive.
  15. Thank you both! This has been quite the learning experience, that's for sure. I went ahead and placed an order to PPCs for a couple extensions as well as some cable combs for the Nvidia 12-pin extension as its a bit unwieldy. Shipping from them was basically same cost as the order itself, so just did Ground. So maybe mid to late this upcoming week can finish up. After the tube runs are done, will use the leak tester and if everything looks good, can finally fill it up!
  16. Here's an idea. Maybe parents should be more active in controlling screen time, and what their 14 year old does online.
  17. Well it took me a long time and many failed tubes, but I finally got this piece. That just leaved the return piece from the bottom radiator to the pump. That piece is tricky because it's a very tight fit so I am seeing if I can find another fitting to just do a piece of straight tube there. EDIT: And I don't have an extension fitting, so looks like another order for one as I jut can't get that tight a bend to work.
  18. Cheers, glad I could help. I only use 3/8" ID 5/8" OD for my soft tubing these days precisely because its a thick wall.
  19. If I had to guess, I'd guess what you have is the 3/8" ID 1/2" OD Tygon. Edit: Ah, so its not Tygon either? Yeah. I think if you order the 3/8" ID 5/8" OD Tygon, you'll be much happier.
  20. I don't think that Tygon is 3/8" ID 5/8" OD. A 1/8 of an inch wall would equate to 3.175mm, closer to the Mayhems reading.
