  1. It indeed seems to have been fixed with the second Windows update. Only thing that's unusual now is it wakes itself up from being asleep about every other day, which it's never done before. Much easier thing to look into though, I haven't toyed with anything yet.
  2. I didn't have any time Monday night, but last night I played around with it for a little bit right before going to bed. I tried running everything as it was and got the same issue. I saw that I had some new Windows updates available, and installed those and restarted. That appears to have resolved it. I'll do a few more rally stages today to confirm. If that's the case, to me that clearly points to Windows updates as the original cause here, but it's odd that it wasn't resolved when the problematic updates were uninstalled. Perhaps that's just an idealization of the situation and uninstalling Windows updates doesn't always work cleanly? Never had to uninstall updates before so I'm not sure.
  3. Just swapped out my 3070 Ti for one of the tried and true 1070 Tis so I can use it for testing in another rig. Just submitted a request for a hardware change. @u3b3rg33k how's your hardware holding up? Looks like @Hacksword has been mia from the forums for nearly a year now. I'll look into recruiting someone else. I should definitely check on our stats/points outputs more often.
  4. I'll try a studio driver tonight and may play with clocks. I'll also try a hardware swap, though I doubt that's the issue if it's running flawlessly when under load.
  5. Alright, update (but not Windows update) time. I uninstalled two Windows updates from 2/22, roughly the time this started. Not sure if it's the exact day. Uninstalled GPU drivers again with DDU in safe mode, reinstalled, disabled fast startup. Same issues. I triggered it consistently, three times this evening. All three times, the screen froze for a few seconds, then went black with a cursor. All three times, I tried to manually restart video drivers with Ctrl + Win + Shift + B. The first time, it did nothing, and then restarted on its own. The second time, it half-recovered before I could even hit the shortcut. Game window was black, but I could return to Windows and keep using my PC. Game would have to have been restarted, and the "night light" was reset, but otherwise functional. Just a typical video driver crash. Third time was same as the first; shortcut did nothing, then it restarted on its own. Attached is a screenshot of the relevant event viewer error. Do you guys have a suggested video driver version to roll back to?
  6. Black screen but I still have audio, sometimes the audio will loop after 20 seconds of continuing to play normally and then it'll restart automatically. I'll try Ctrl + Win + Shift + B though. Never heard of that before, interesting to see that function bound to a keyboard shortcut. I'll try that if the issue persists when I'm next on my sim. I don't think I had any Windows or driver updates around that time. Are Windows update logs or some sort of update history in Event Viewer to double check that? I remember it's a thing but it's been years since I've looked. I don't think I get auto updating drivers, but I'm not 100% sure. My Windows settings aren't super consistent across my PCs. I'll try disabling fast startup right off the bat though, can't hurt. I did see that mentioned once when Googling, but I didn't think it was relevant. Perhaps it is, haha.
  7. Phoenix V3, so 2080 Ti. I should have mentioned that I did check event viewer and it mentioned the 'ol nvlddmkm, which I interpret to be video drivers. I uninstalled with DDU and installed newest drivers; behavior didn't change at all.
  8. Starting mid last week, I'd exit to the main menu of a game or close a game and after a few seconds, video drivers would appear to crash, wouldn't recover, and I'd have to restart my PC. This is my racing sim PC that's acting up, so I've only tried this with iRacing and Dirt Rally 2, but both exhibit this behavior. Oddly, once restarted, I can use my PC normally and while playing a game, everything runs perfectly. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any suggestions? I don't recall anything changing around the time of this issue starting.
  9. Neat, I figured it was something along those lines. I've somehow never seen one before.
  10. Updated! All added, thanks for posting! Nice collection. Honestly I don't think I've heard of the Aqua King switches before, I'm curious about how they feel despite my typical lack of interest in linear switches.
  11. Looks good. What's the cover over the rearmost side windows? Some sort of mount for something?
  12. Can confirm, I've played a decent amount of FH5 on my Steam Deck with zero issues whatsoever. I've spent so much time in driving/racing games with an Xbox controller though that I definitely drive better with a separate controller rather than the Steam Deck controls. Not sure if that's something that others experience.
  13. Exciting stuff! Vorons have interested me for sure, but I'm 100% not in the market for another printer at the moment. Will you be posting updates somewhere as you build/run it?
  14. Yeah that's been the theme for them for the past several years, it seems. Frustrating to see, and considering they've rotated team principals a couple times recently, I think it's becoming clear that it's a larger, perhaps organizational, issue. That reminds me of the Williams situation, I'd assumed that a lot of their troubles were due to the fact that running a "family" team in the traditional format doesn't work in the modern era of F1, and that the structure of the team changing would fix their woes, but it doesn't seem to have done so yet. I'm interested to see what their next few years will look like.
  15. Bumping this thread to see if anyone that's joined EHW recently has some motorsports interest. What series will you be watching/following this year?
  16. What I remember hearing was the Aventador was going to be the last V12, and the Huracan replacement would have a TTV8. I could have things confused though.
  17. That's neat, I'm almost surprised it's still an NA V12. Maybe they said that earlier and I missed it or something though, I haven't been following what Lambo's been up to super closely as of late.
  18. Looks good! Updated photo and added keycaps to the list.
  19. Ah, I'll definitely consider that. I've heard about foam packing, but haven't seen an example of an exact type of foam that's usually used, so the Amazon link in your previous post is super useful. Thanks!
  20. Thanks! The Drop Halo Clears (and Trues, for that matter) are indeed tactile like MX clears, and I should do a video since the key switches themselves sound pretty good. However, I definitely get a resonating pinging noise in my keyboard when I type, and that completely ruins the sound lol. I definitely want to address it, but don't know off the top of my head how I should go about doing so. That's interesting, I suppose that's good in the sense that taking off a keycap won't rip out the switch with it (had that happen a few times) but it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult. Something to keep in mind then.
  21. Been absent over the holidays, but I'm back in the swing of things now. All the new boards look great guys! I'm now also interested in a Mini Cat to gift haha. The Yunzii numpad pairs quite nicely @neurotix, I'll consider that as well. Everyone's new boards have been added to the list. Additionally, I got myself a new board a couple months ago that I seem to have neglected to post about here. It's my new daily driver, a GK96X with the Halo Clears. Got some pudding caps for it, was a bit tricky to find a set that fit the layout but I got one that works with the correct profiles and everything. Big downside about favoring the 96%/1800 layout so much. Looks pretty tame but it's a nice balance for me between heavy weight, not being obnoxiously loud, and looking nice but not over the top, so it fits with the rest of my setup fairly well. Also temporarily had the original set from my Tab90 on there until the pudding set showed up.
  22. Gotcha, I totally brainfarted when I read the folding.extremehardware.net link; that works. HYPE! That was quick, thanks to all involved.
  23. Personally when I saw the "See All Stats" button, my first thought was that it'd go to this page: ExtremeHW Team Summary - Folding@Home Stats - EXTREME Overclocking FOLDING.EXTREMEOVERCLOCKING.COM F@H stats team summary for ExtremeHW. Help Folding at Home fight Coronavirus, further medical research, and prevent diseases with... Then you could have a button that says something "Join the Team" or "Join the Discussion" or something under it that links to the forum, or a link advertising the current or upcoming monthly 48 hour competition. Also, don't think the 3 day champion would change to much so I'm not sure how interesting it would be, but it's not hurting anything at all if others see value in it.
