  1. A little more good news, the main framework for many of the new features is now in place on the live site and is being added to incrementally. This is more of a back end change which will enable use to start making features live for all you guys
  2. Hey guys, I have been looking around at the varying options for Waterblocks for the 3090 Founders Edition, some really nice ones, but Many of them have the inlet/outlet ports at the end of the Waterblock which for my build could be a real PITA. So, other than the Corsair block as the image below, what others out there have the ports to the side to the card for the 3090 FE ?
  3. We will be testing with Thread ripper and other platforms. As for the other questions, I will make note of these and see if we can get these in
  4. Nice ! Just finished a meeting with JR Thermal and we are getting a review sample, it is going to get some serious testing by @mllrkllr88 Looking forward to it.
  5. It will be exciting to see what AMD can bring to the table with a chiplet GPU design. If it is anything like Ryzen, they may have something. The only problem is actually getting one, right now I would settle for a new GPU of any kind haha.
  6. Ha no way. Not being tested on my daily rig, too involved with removing a monoblock. This will be sent on to another of the team with the proper testing equipment. This is assuming we get a review sample, fingers crossed. As for the Noctua fans, possibly another day but it would not be a part of the review.
  7. With the scarcity of anything else to upgrade to, this is no surprise and just sucks for all involved to be honest.
  8. Yeah this is exactly why I stay away from any colored liquids or any pastels, more hassle than they are worth, another reason I went with EPDM tubing as it is low maintenance and the liquid is clear anyway so who cares haha. Looks like the silver coil is a relic from the past then, still useful for those who make their own mixes I guess. Yeah I tend not to touch anything in order to avoid introducing anything organic to the loop, gloves is a good idea.
  9. Hello all, I have been running my WC setup fine for a good while now with the Mayhems X1 Clear Pre-mixed coolant. I was speaking with a friend today that reminded me of the XSPC Silver Coils that you can put in your loops which state 99% Antimicrobial properties. Have any of you added these to your loops without any ill affect ? I ask as I am modifying my loop and if these are sensible then I might as well add one in. Cheers, E
  10. Fingers crossed, we are working on getting a sample to get a review going for all
  11. The whole 3080 is a dumb SKU in my opinion. Why they decided to gimp what is a high end card with 10Gb VRAM is really beyond me...now they are going to fill the gap with a 3080Ti that is (from what we know) will be a 3090 with 20GB VRAM which undercuts the 3090, what ?. The SKU's that Nvidia are releasing are maddening.
  12. I am looking forward to the new 1.2 AGESA in Feb from AMD !

  14. The issues is most people will pay the extra to get what they want. Thus far we have had two solid generations of large price increases for GPU's, at least on the high end. It is clear so far that while people will complain about the price increase, they won't vote with their wallet and will spend the extra anyway. I am one of them. Especially with NVIDIA. While AMD have improved their game with RDNA2, the AMD ecosystem is FAR behind that of Nvidia. So even though AMD offers a better price for performance ( RT not included ), I will still pay more for Nvidia generally speaking due to the overall better package. In Summary, Top end GPU,s £1,500-£2000 is likely the new norm from Nvidia, AMD while gaining traction still has a ways to go in order to force Nvidia off the pricing high horse.
  15. I saw this earlier, shame that it is only semi stable. Testing without any means of cooling was indeed foolish after all that effort. As for the instability it is still possibly a hardware issue or BIOS. They say the BIOS seems fine but at the end of the day it was never meant to address 16Gb of VRAM.
