  1. Todo backup is a great tool. Good to hear EaseUS are also being flexible too.
  2. There shall be light ! https://forums.extremehw.net/forum/122-smart-devices-iot/
  3. Here you have it https://forums.extremehw.net/forum/120-laptops-tablets/
  4. To be honest, I kind of get that. For free software such as a browser I would understand that as browsers are usually donation based to survive etc. Witchcraft ! How do you manage to get free gift cards?
  5. That being said will actually pop the link on our forum description Thanks for the note !
  6. So far as I recall, Nvidia required that there BIOS files had a valid digital signature which means an overall BIOS modification is out of the question. However has you looked up other 1080Ti variant BIOS's that allow for a higher TDP ? I have in the past grabbed a BIOS files for my cards (assuming they are the same model of course) that have a higher TDP rating allowing more power to be pushed to the card for overclocks. That being said, when you grab a BIOS from another card while it tends not to matter which vendor it has come from (MSI,EVGA etc) be sure that when you find a card with a better BIOS that you ensure that the card and your card have the same PCI-e power connector configuration. I have seen people flash a BIOS made for cards with say 3x 6 Pin connections to a card with only 2x 6 Pin and this obviously will cause issues, so be sure to match up that config. The other thing to note is that if your card has any other abilities, such as run silent, this can be BIOS specific, as such if you flash another BIOS you can lose the 0 RPM feature for when the card is at idle or low usage. Though if I am honest that is not big deal. The same can be said for any fancy RGB functions, again can be BIOS specific. Check out Techpowerup for other 1080Ti BIOS files , check here : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=NVIDIA&manufacturer=&model=GTX+1080+Ti&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since= Click on a BIOS that takes your fancy, it will load to another window to show you all the specific on that BIOS, including TDP limits etc.
  7. To be honest these are the cards that SHOULD have been released on launch, not the variants available in there place now. Dumb move for the 3080 to be so Vram gimped as it is. As others, waiting until 2021 before I pick up a 3090, refuse to pick up a 3080 if it remains in its Vram gimped state as for me that is not an upgrade.
  8. Small delay on this due to site improvements but will get sorted tomorrow
  9. Oh wow, yeah that is not good. That is a heavy statement to make and is going to raise some eyebrows. The fact that Google pays apple to make Google the defacto search engine on Apple devices is absurd lol.
  10. Banned for continual posting of Doggo's but yeah @486 where you be ?
  11. I also second the use of EaseUS for cloning, simple & fast. I used EaseUS for a good while for cloning, imaging and partition management. Cannot fault them yet.
  12. Yeah that was like kicking a man while he is already down. I reckon they will plow some of those new funds into getting 7nm sorted....or some process smaller than 14nm lol. That and pushing their new GPU department. HOWEVER is is never as simple as getting a load of cash and dumping it into certain areas, so who knows what Intel will focus on primarily now they have gotten rid of NAND. If I were them I would be hurrying to compete with AMD in the CPU realm otherwise if they continue to stagnate for too long, AMD will just run away with it.
  13. Will likely say that the majority will hit 5ghz with PBO with the right motherboard just judging from the advances in the 5000 series.
  14. Welcome @Cerberus, Great to have you here with us !
  15. Nice, I look forward to seeing that beast running under WC. You are not alone, anything that dangles over my equipment, no matter how secured always gives me shivers down my spine .
  16. That is nice man. Not being much of a camera man, I did not think you could take over the camera functions wirelessly. What a bonus that is. Love the arm setup for the camera as well, that is just ace. So has this bench been powered up yet ?
  17. Interesting, looks like they are not happy with the market volatility in the NAND space, which I get. I knew they would hold onto the Optane IP though considering that is their baby in particular. $9 Billion, nice tidy sum.
  18. Seems like an apples to oranges comparison, I understand what he is trying to do, but I am not 100% sure the results are accurate time will tell though as it is not too long before we know for fact.
  19. Laptop section is not a problem. Will set it up tomorrow and decide whether or not it will reside as its own forum or as a sub Forum
  20. Definitely a game I want to get submersed in for sure, been waiting for this plus I want to check out all of its eye candy, especially with RTX.
  21. Interesting to see core max thus far of 90mhz. What are your temps like at load with the FE cooler ? May get a 3090 next year, so interested. That being said its possible I wont get an FE card, but good info nonetheless
