    I actually think its a crying shame that these days being an early adopter is becoming more like a punishment. We all get bad and buggy drivers etc in the beginning... maybe even a bad batch of hardware which you can at least get sorted on warranty. But getting shafted when a company basically upgrades the product you just bought...not on really. Not liking that new culture at all.

    I reckon its true. I think they designed the Samsung and TSMC in tandem knowing that when production free's up at TSMC they would jump ship. They wanted 7nm in the first place but was relegated to 8nm from Samsung out of necessity to keep their launch schedule.

    Yeah, think I will wait for the Nvidia 3000 series to move over to 7nm TSMC in 2021 and buy a GPU instead lol

    Yeah, I have been thinking about getting the 5950x BUT in all honesty while it is a great CPU, I just think with DDR4 kicking around the corner, there is little point in an upgrade right now from a 3950X.

    We will be getting FTTP in the next year or so which will give close to 1Gb...but not yet.

    The homepage is not actually a part of the forum's. It is meant as a content showcase primarily. It also runs on a different platform. It is possible in the future we will add it as a "handy feature" for now though, it is deliberate and not a bug

    Still not got this puppy yet, I am still waiting on getting a new GPU to play this in all its glory !

    Samsung 8nm was certainly a stop gap measure just so Nvidia could get the 3000 series out with a view to falling back to TSMC once availability opened up in their schedules. For a few reasons now, certainly seems like you are better off buying a 3000 series card later in the lifecycle once it has matured like a fine wine.

    Welcome ! Much more to come for sure, lots of features and functions on the books to make their way here, as always it comes down to time and money but I hope to have everything developed and running as soon as possible. First and foremost will be the Rig Creator and Media Embed Wizard.

    What system have you got currently ? You may not need to upgrade the CPU and you can focus on the GPU.
