  1. Thanks for the feedback so far guys, some great suggestions. What I will say is that Cyberpunk will be a little on the late side and is unlikely to be included.
  2. On mobile or desktop is this ? Either way, we are improving this on EHW 2.0 For now, please see the guide on multi quoting here :https://extremehw.net/forum/main-forum/200-site-guide-features
  3. Multi-GPU still lives, but as I said before, its niche. Unfortunately the cost of a second GPU heavily outweighs the benefit at this stage. My new GPU will be a single setup as not enough games utilize a multi GPU setup in order to make the investment worth it, at least for myself. Now chiplet design GPU,s have already been suggested by AMD and we may see this next gen or gen afterwards (Not RDNA 2) Now in the interest of this thread, we will only be testing a single Nvidia 3000 series GPU, any gleamings of this will give you a rough platform to extrapolate multi gpu.
  4. OMG...Yeah missed trick there
  5. Welcome ! Nice avatar bud, Good to see you found you way to Rig Creator. Looking forward to seeing you around and becoming "One of us"
  6. Ouch Yowzer ! However we all knew that "Game" would stress most high end components.
  7. Yes RDD2 is a great candidate and I assume you mean the new MS Flight Sim 2020 ?
  8. Hey all, So we have got a chance at doing a gaming performance roundup for one of the top end Nvidia RTX 3090 series GPU. The question is what games would you like to see tested ? We will be testing the following suite of games: 3D Mark Various Tests Control Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Metro Exodus Doom Eternal Crysis Remastered Crysis Original (For comparison against remastered ) Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Red Dead Redemption 2 Battlefield 5 As an added bonus for all those who participate in the Folding@Home project, we will also be monitoring over a 24 Hour period what an RTX 3090 can do! We would love to know what YOU the people would like to see and why ! Have your say ! All the best, E
  9. This could be ideal for those on a budget, PCIe 4 is nothing people really NEED right now, so forcing that premium on people seems silly, so why not save the money. Though I have to agree with the article that it is odd they went for D-Sub, DVI at the very least...but preferably HDMI.
  10. To be fair, Kodi has been a well known platform for piracy and illegal streaming, so this stance is not surprising. As for web filtering, this is new-ish and by default is enforced when you join an ISP here BUT you can just turn it off/configure it. The only thing which gets filtered by ISP DNS is things like piratebay etc which cannot be turned off. I mean obviously you have the choice of DNS alteration or VPN to get around such things.
  11. Yeah do not blame you for just using it as is, you can always look into it later if you run into issues, but for testing and assessing performance over time, you might as well leave it as is. By the way, do not forget to add this in Rig Creator, we are interested in the full specs of this beast.
  12. Just when I though we did not have any more terminologies to learn to help indicate rough performance. I would like to see a third competitor enter the arena, if Intel was able to compete at some levels with AMD and Nvidia on a frequent basis then this could result in more favorable prices. I think though we are a little way off this though, even if Intel launched a super uber card on paper in 2021, we have no idea of its actual capabilities. Secondly as these guys are new to the GPU segment, I will hazard a guess that drivers will be a challenge for them at first, which we all know can simply kill a hardware lineup.
  13. Nice, looking good. Another program that may be of interest to you is Primo Cache. I use it for writing my data to my RAM first when it comes to files etc and then it will do a deferred write to my SSD's. The nice thing is that aside from the speed, as it defers the writes back to the SSD in bulk, it helps reduce the wear on your drives which you would get from multiple writes. I have used it for a good while now, super reliable and never caused me any instability.
  14. Yeah the platform has been a little fragmented, I mean this brings this a little more together which is good I suppose as I am always in Gmail.
  15. These can be handy, thought I actually got the 10Gbe variant for my QNAP NAS a little while ago, that small sucker cost me like £300. I have not even used it yet, not to its full potential. Good to see they are releasing a more affordable solution though, would have preferred if it had 2x 2.5Gbe ports that could be used in Link Aggregation.
  16. True, but then their argument is awesomlely misleading and innaccurate lol. People only paying for those services because they can afford them, not because they WANT data caps lol. Seriously these companies and their spin make me angry. Still overall seems to be US companies that do this.
  17. That is fair then, leave that baby enabled ! That is interesting, I did not know they did any unlocked Xeons during that period of time, glad to see you got lucky and manage to have an unlocked one at your disposal. PBO does some wonders, it is a very good system assuming you have a great WC setup. That being said, aside from PBO, you can also get the best out of your CPU by per CCD overclocking. I have OC'ed better than PBO and better than trying for an all core OC by overclocking each CCD and bringing each one to its maximum. That is how I got 4525/4500/4500/4350 on my 3950X. An all core OC at 4.5+ was not possible on my chip so I decided I would get the best out of each CCD and leave it their. This also helps with keeping single core performance at its highest and not having to sacrifice that just because the other CCD's could not keep up. It does take a little more time than an all core OC or just leaving it to PBO. However once you get there, it is rewarding and kind of a fun process.
  18. I think this is one of those "lul wut" moments. Who "Enjoys" PAYING for a LIMITED services ? I would love to see their data on that one.
  19. Ahh right that makes sense now, well it is another step in the right direction for Linux.
  20. Lol yeah, those SSD's would be fab...but the price...no. Yeah I only realized that the other day...enterprise drives for enterprise, guess it is only fitting
  21. Well this was only a matter of time, they bailed out of the HDD market a little time ago as well. To be honest, not much was lost here.
