  1. For sure. If you are strictly storage, scale is perfect. My use case was different as my NAS serves as my data storage, Plex and multiple VM's. That is where scale shines as well as the plethora of apps that expands its uses.
  2. Hello all, I just wanted to say thank you to all our site donors past and present for your support. Your contributions help a great deal with the site running costs and development. A big thanks for helping to keep the lights on guys. Looking forward to the future with you all As a side notes the site ads will be making a return after our trial run. Im hoping to have these back as soon as possible. All the best, E
  3. This is going to be a helpful thread to watch as im considering an external RAD for my WC setup! Though im looking at the MO-RA products at the moment. Will have my own thread up soon as I have my own noob questions lol. Look forward to watching this one play out.
  4. Hey @Cerberus. How much rack space do you have left ?
  5. Nice setup! I have my TureNas Scale rig in my signature. I wouldn't go back really, it is a great platform with massive expandability! Are you using Core or Scale ? If you are running Core, I would highly recommend Scale. It is as simple as an in place upgrade. If you have any jails (For running apps)though, those will be lost.
  6. To be honest, the HWBOT platform needs a complete overhaul. Sure it works, but it does not work very well.
  7. Great work! Certainly pumping out those points for sure.
  8. Hello all, We will soon be upgrading the overall platform software to 4.7.3. Prior to doing this I will be running some upgrade tests and checks to ensure that this large upgrade does not negatively affect some of the custom development we have had done on the site. We hope that the upgrade will go nice and smoothly when we do the official deploy. I will comment when the upgrade has been complete so that if anything seems out of place, you guys can report any issue in our Bugs Section. Please see below some of the fixes, adjustments and enhancements that will be coming with this release. More soon! E
  9. Hello all, Just so it is known, we are working on a fix so that reviewers avatars are correctly scraped from our Wordpress reviews site, and shown correctly here. At the moment some reviewers avatars are shown correctly, whereas others show as placeholders. See below screenshot. Fingers crossed we will have this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks, E
  10. Now that the HWBOT is over in sure @damric will be able to get this fired up again. If anything is needed, please let me know:)
  11. @bonami2. Please can you promote on FB & Twitter, please include a link back to the first post of this thread
  12. As an update. "Mark Site Read" is now available on the mobile menu. Select the hamburger icon to show the menu and you will find it on the list
  13. Well done everyone for all your submissions! Fantastic job by all.
  14. Will always be Windows. Same card as it keeps life simpler to be honest.
  15. Their drivers "Adrenaline" as they are called have improved significantly from days gone by and there are not any issues I know of. I would just concentrate on choosing a good GPU from the right vendor
  16. Have you tried rolling back the last known updates to see if functionality is restored ? According to the net the file you referenced is a core file of Windows Defender, making the assumption it has not been hijacked, but a decent AV should pick that up. 17. "Orleans" according to: https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon 64 3500%2B - ADA3500IAA4CW (ADA3500CWBOX).html
  18. This was one route I did consider and I may go down this route in the future as it is likely do-able Thanks for the suggestion, it is a great one
  19. That could work, instead we have added a badge by those rigs in the re-order list that are enabled for the signature so it is more obvious.
  20. To be honest, Im going to aim to make it clearer as I can see it being a point of confusion later.
