  1. They dont garner loads of conversation but not all news posts do. I think its still a relevant piece of industry news though. On the topic itself, not great to hear. At this rate they will be closing in on Intels numbers haha.
  2. Edit. Just like that after sleeping on it I have sorted it into one functional Macro. So if anyone is looking for a Macro that will save a 2D drawing and export said drawing into PDF,DWG or DXF then please see attached for your use SAVE DRAWING WITH PDF & DWG EXPORT.zip
  3. Even the enthusiasts are getting priced out lol. The prices get to a point where even the most keen of us are left scratching our heads.
  4. Hey all, So I am having a little bit of a fight with Solidwork Macros. Not sure if anyone here will be able to help, but lets have at it. So essentially I have two working individual Macro files. The Goal of the Macro files is to Save a document and then run an auto expert of the current open file into PDF and DWG. So I have two Macro files aptly named: 1.Save As 2.PDF & DWG Export Initially I tried having it as one combined Macro, but could not get it to play nicely. The I realised there is a Group function for VBA Macros. Which is a Macro that you can used to launch other Macros in sequence. Alas this did not work. I have the two Macro files attached as mentioned above as well as the ."Group Run "Macro. Can anyone smarter than myself at these get these running in sequence ? As a note, I usually find that the when running the Group Run Macro, the Save As Macro will fire up and do its job, but after that sequence is finished, the PDF &DWG Export Macro does not start. Furthermore, the "Group Run" Macro assumes you place the "Macros" folder in the attachment in the root of your C:/ drive to function. Thanks, E Macros.zip
  5. Thanks guys. Well I am using my switch as the 10Gbe backbone of my network. My Pfense box (to be configured) is on 10Gbe as is my NAS and my main Rig. So everything critical is wired to the switch at 10Gbe, other then a few supplementary devices at 1Gbe. I guess in reality there is no need to have a wireless AP hooked up to the switch at 10Gbe as it will never really get utilized fully via the wireless devices in the house and the AP will never wirelessly serve 10G lol. So I guess in this instance the GT-AX1100 would be the better bet from an overall wireless standpoint, plus I can use Asus Merlin firmware on it.
  6. Hey guys, So I am looking for some extra input on this. I have been converting the heart of my network over to 10Gbe. I am now focusing on my router. I have the option of getting a router, the Asus RT-AX89X which has two 10Gbe ports which would make it 10Gbe compliant along the rest of my gear but at the cost of a lower wireless throughput vs something like the GT-AX1100 but only is 2.5Gbe compliant. A little background. I have the following using my wireless network. 1. 4x Wifi Security Cameras 2. 1x Laptop 3. 2x phones 4. Any guest devices. What do you think. Keep the entire backbone at 10Gbe or go with increased wireless throughout ? Thanks guys, E
  7. A lot of enthusiasts have 1Kw + PSU's, so from a standpoint of having to upgrade PSU to handle the next 4080/4090 I do not think many will need to. I think Nvidia's goal is too really push RT hard, at the expense of the power envelope which is a shame to be honest. More powerful so far as performance does not have to come at a huge expense of power draw. I would prefer to see additional optimization of the process for the next gen over chugging it full of power and throw in some extra RT and Cuda cores. Im not upgrading anyway due to the fact my 3090 is more than fine and frankly the prices will be mental again.
  8. I was impressed by this...but wow what a price to pay. Bought it for the "It's the first one ever" sake I guess.
  9. Source Whole article quoted as fairly short. Good to see this though.
  10. I predict I will start my stocks journey in the next couple of weeks. First got my 10Gb network overhaul.
  11. Likely not indeed, so it is not what is considered a huge loss. Though yet another security hit for Intel.
  12. Source Granted these are older CPU's, but a shame to lose a whole function.
  13. Darn, you went from 42U to 12U, You must have had a good old clear out !
  14. Loving how this build is progressing so far. Really like your 12U Cabinet cable management. My OCD is satisfied haha.
  15. Wow nice. HDD tech has had to progress really and the last 5 years has certainly seen that. When I fill my storage, I will look at these, by then maybe the price will be lower.
  16. While our logo will appear on one of their products. In the coming weeks I will be having conversations with Skullz about our own Merch line
  17. Yeah those. I actually had a derp moment as I realised I can get a 3Pin to USB Cable and use any of my fans I have hanging around !
