My Awards

  1. Higher boost then the 9800x3d. And quad channel memory. And more cache. They should make a decent gaming CPU.
  2. Be quiet! dark power pro 13 1300w. Superflower Leadex VII XG 1300w Superflower Leadex VII XP PRO
  3. Original with the overhaul mod. Is better anyway.
  4. Also the PCI zotac GT430/GT520. To add physx to your 7800.
  5. I wish i could find a Galaxy GeForce 7950GT AGP to test against my HD3850 AGP. To see if it is any faster. Or AGP bottlenecked.
  6. No the FX5000 series was actually faster than the 4000 series before it. Sometimes...
  7. I do hope ARM desktop cpu's take off. If we can move away from X86. That would open up a lot of new options. Imagine having 4 or 5 CPU choices. However i don't think we will see Nvidia or other ARM cpu's socketed. But maybe AMD will do it. Maybe we will get an AMD cpu with a ryzen chiplet and an ARM chiplet.
  8. It's good to see lower prices for QLC ssds. hopefully it creates a pricing gap between QLC and TLC. Because i cant justify buying a QLC ssd over TLC if the price difference is 5%-10%. However for my usage low capacity is fine. So i keep buying used MLC and optane ssds.
  9. Some of the 8-series boards have 5GbE. And some have 10GbE. Which is hard to find on 6-series boards.
  10. CAT8 is a shielded cable. It should only be used with equipment that is designed to work with it. In most cases it will work like any other cable. But in some cases it will run slower with more latency if used with consumer equipment. Nothing uses the CAT8 standard. And it might never be used. I would just use a CAT6 cable.

    OCulink?

For those with more experience with OCuLink. What do i need to connect these 2.
  12. Ubiquiti U7 Outdoor Access Point U7 Outdoor - Ubiquiti Store STORE.UI.COM All-weather WiFi 7 AP with 4 spatial streams, an integrated directional super antenna, and versatile mounting options. Well now i got 1.5Gb wifi in my backyard. What do i do with it.
  13. If the price wasn't too crazy. It might make a nice SFF NAS. But at $1999 ill have to pass. But it is a pretty cool product.
  14. Should make it easier to do quad channel for new platforms.
  15. I like the look of the taichi boards. But they only come with 5Gbe. So i am leaning towards the Asus ProArt with it's 10Gbe.
