  1. I have hemochromatosis (a disorder in which extra iron builds up in the body to harmful levels) and it's treated by doing phlebotomys to draw off blood and let new blood be made to lower the lvl of total iron in it. It got where the hospitals would use me to train the newbie's how to stick because the veins get scarred from all the punctures and are harder to hit. Now some regular lab nurses have trouble, and 1 tech wanted to set me up with a port. I was like NO! I get these 2-3 times a year! not a week! lol. Either get a tech who can stick,or I'll find a place that can. Now my doctor has me going back to the Cancer treatment lab here where they do chemo and they have no problem. The girl hit's it first time pretty much every time. When there IS a problem, it's usually when I've drank coffee that morning or haven't drank fluids that morning.
  2. That's not the first dog Intel has tried to get people to adopt then finally been forced to concede they were wrong, just look how long they stuck with RDRAM (1999 to 2003 I believe?) When SDRAM was cheaper and just as fast or in some cases faster after DDR came along. RDRAM - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  3. lol, I had the opposite situation with my mesh surgery. #1 Nothing to eat or drink after Midnight. #2 Surgery scheduled for 8:30 a.m. so got up at 7:15a.m., went bathroom, showered, got dressed and was at hospital by 8:10 a.m. #3 Finally went to surgery between 9:30-10:00 a.m. #4 11:00 a.m I'm asking when can I go home and I'm informed "Not until you pass fluids so the doctor knows everything's ok" SERIOUSLY? What am I supposed to pass? #5 I explain this to the nurses, they give me multiple little containers of juice I chug, then try a catheter on me but the girl is holding the bag & tube ABOVE me so air goes in my bladder. #6 I finally pee a mix of liquid bubbles and am allowed to leave. For 2 more weeks I keep passing bubbles until all the air works out of my bladder. The joys of same day surgery...
  4. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that ANY acct that has chat bots that INITIATE conversations and send messages to subscribers off line need to get a ban.
  5. The size of the cards and placement of the plugs almost BEGS for an issue with plugging them in in most standard cases. Add trying to get any kind of cable management and I can see quite a few people having problems... It's almost like Nvidia designed them to fail easily then just threw the "don't bend cable" warning on them to cover their asses so they wouldn't have to replace them when people screwed up,and could just charge for new or possibly repairs if possible. Even more income from the same cards.
  6. (smh) I put this on the wife's page,I'm constantly telling her what's wrong with her before her doctors get it right...
  7. Now if they can just get some drivers to improve game play....
  8. Best thoughts & wishes going your way
  9. I kinda agree with the more "professional" point, but $5 to $20 is a bit of a hike for the small time (as in single person)business clients.
  10. After reading this thread and the one on ocn, I figured out the solution. Just make all the 4090's TOP mount cards so the card stands upright and has plenty of room now for the cables to not have to bend.... Also,it could allow for heat exhaust on a blower type card. Just set a rack over the exhaust port and have a coffee warmer on your rig!
  11. It is safe to upgrade now, Nvidia saves you money. It's not only a video card,it's a marshmallow cooker... Plus we have Linus take on the subject now....
  12. Middle Earth: Shadow of War 6CXN73E35A27736692 Use on GOG by 11/4/2022
  13. I can see it now, people who have utilities included are gonna have a clause in their lease prohibiting future generation Nvidia cards.
  14. As for Micro center, I feel ya. The 2 closest to me are each aprox. 4 hours away in opposite directions. 1 in KS the other in TX.
  15. Haven't purchased, but if anyones looking for a nas HDD, 14TB on sale.
  16. I look terrible, but here's a screen shot of the image from my cheap webcam ordered back in 2021 and now out of stock. 1080p
  17. The ARC cards handle DX9 by emulating it to DX12 which makes more work for the GPU hence the about half the FPS in the DX9 games as cards that are able to handle it directly(linus actually compared a GTX 780 and it got higher FPS in CSGO) Meanwhile there are also games that show amd having advantage over intel & nvidia and believe it not,ARC beat Nvidia & amd in metro exodus. Jayz believe's it's mostly a matter of drivers being put out for the games now. here's his vid with results for Cyberpunk,Gears5,metroexodus,GuardiansoftheGalaxy,Forza Horizon5,Borderlands3,Shadow of the TombRaider, with & without RT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_Sl8W-RQH0 like he says in the video,it's almost an ad for amd. how ARC handles DX9 = https://www.archynewsy.com/intel-xe-and-arc-gpu-dx9-games-emulated-with-directx12/
  18. lol, tomaetoe,tomahtoe,tahmotae.... meanwhile none of them get it right.
  19. From Wikipedia... "NZXT released their own line of motherboards for the Intel Z370 chipset in January 2018. It was praised for its minimalist design, as the circuitry is not exposed; but was initially criticized for its high price. The lineup was refreshed in October 2018 to support the Z390 chipset. The NZXT branded Z390 motherboards were manufactured by Elitegroup while a Z490 one is made by ASRock."
  20. I can just hear them whispering in the background to each buyer "Move along, nothing to see here..."
  21. I haven't played the game yet on pc, where the 18 dip came from I can't figure where it came from.I'm gonna re-run the test again later to see if it was something that spiked somewhere else causing it to dip. It's the same scenes being run in the test so it should have been lower in the bottom 1. Edit: New test results including 70% and 100% More stable results, made sure nothing going on in background and waited for each to start and stop completely before trying to start new test.(Test has a long wait period at beginning that threw me off when I first ran it and I restarted it thinking it wasn't running right) 1st image = 50% 2nd = 60% 3rd = 100% & 4th = 70%.Scale only let's me adjust in multiple of 10,was trying for the 66% but had to settle for 70.
  22. their whole thing kinda sucked, but I'm glad they're refunding the subscriptions people got. Gamepass offers cloud streaming of games on certain subscriptions. It's nice because U don't have to download a game onto a limited size drive to play it,it's on their servers and keeps the info there. Edit: Amazon seems to still be hanging in there.... Free trial of the Ubisoft+ channel through Oct.10th if anyone has prime and wants to give it a go.
  23. a little less than 1440, but that's the area. here's the actual settings used by the math.
  24. lol, I have a basic generic android phone, echo dots in 2 rooms with the mics off except when they are being used to play music, amazon tablets & firesticks with smart capabilities turned off except when I use a tablet to either interface with a dot,or my kindle unlimited acct, and then I just type.(Alexa doesn't get much love from the tablets,or firesticks.) The wife uses the Google voice search option on the phone all the time.
  25. The Higher frame screen shot is at the default setting of 50% for the Screen Resolution Multi and the lower FPS is when I increased it to 60%. At 100% it knocked the FPS down to the upper 30's-low 40's average with high spikes in upper 60's and lowest spikes in bottom 20's. The Game used was Assassin's Creed Valhalla using the built in Benchmarking test. Included a shot of my memory also since that wasn't in the info provided by the test.
