Oklahoma for example has permitless/open carry and you must be 21 to purchase a handgun and carry it. In this state you can start hunting big game below the age of 10 which may explain why long guns are available for purchase at 18 years of age (our military lets you enlist at 17). When I was growing up in NJ, I got my hunting license at 12 after passing a course.

And that's the rub, you have 6 & 10 year olds playing Grand Theft Auto V,CoD,and other online shooters and they're being raised by gaming systems instead of parents. Parents let them play games because it keeps them busy not thinking that it's setting a model of behavior for them in the back of their heads. Even at parks and events you see kids with games in their hands instead of learning how to socialize with one another. MAYBE if the parents actually were parenting instead of just handing them off to the consoles to babysit and were actually using the labels to keep inappropriate games from young children it wouldn't be as bad? e.g., CoD4 = M17+ rating for Intense Violence,Blood, and Strong Language

techspot Nvidia revenue up 262% year-over-year

'Demand is just so strong': Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang tells Yahoo Finance supply can't keep up FINANCE.YAHOO.COM Nvidia's quarterly results blew away estimates again on Wednesday, and as the company moves to its next-generation chips its CEO sees... "Huang added that demand for both platforms will outstrip supply well into next year, with the complexity of these chips also challenging the company's efforts to keep pace." And I'm sure we can depend on Nvidia to keep the supply less than the demand to KEEP the price astronomically high..... -

Adding a breath of life here. I have an older desktop with an AMD A8 3870 quad core APU for the processor and an AMD Radeon HD8490 for the graphics card. Here are some versions of Linux that I tried running that ran but with an issue. Linux Mint Mate = No audio over the video card. ..................Xfce = After lots of jiggery pokery able to get random audio over the video card out put.(sometimes work, sometimes not) lubuntu = No audio over video card. ALL the above worked fine in the live testing and the HDMI output was fine. Once OS were installed and UPDATED they quit having audio on the video card. The card is below the cutoff of the latest driver that was updated in the LTS releases. Now we meet Linux Lite, When first installed I had the same issue of no sound and sound device not showing. BUT after running updates and rebooting, my sound device showed and worked automatically. P.S. it updated to kernel 5.15.0.107 ver.#117Ubuntu which is what the others where running unless I forced them to the 6.x kernel. and even that didn't help them. Lite shows a Caicos Driver installed for the card when the others were all using the newer amdgpu driver. maybe they leave older driver in? Here's the link to their site if anyone needs a low resource using OS that seems to support even some older hardware. EDIT: Well, a few days later and several updates later and we have broken sound again. Edit#2 Re-rebooting seems to make it work when the screen loads.(sometimes I just get a black screen and tv times out.) Linux Lite Easy to Use Free Linux Operating System WWW.LINUXLITEOS.COM Linux Lite is a free easy to use linux based operating system that is suitable for people who are new to linux.

"We're not just a company we're a community" Dang! I hope I'm never part of a community who gets shafted like the one in Texas at EKCS did. He did a nice job of avoiding all the subjects and coming across like a used car salesman. Adult Language NSFW -

Not too shabby for older hardware.... And even on Maximum we still manage a high score near the FSR test on High desktop settings.

(Gazing into my crystal bic pen...) I predict that if Nvidia releases a consumer Blackwell card it will either be so neutered that it's like the next generation of card (an additional low 20% increase performance at most) OR it will be so far out of price reach that it will be like buying during the pandemic again.Anyone have a spare kidney?
-
Nvidia head: "Why aren't our latest GPU's increasing in price like previous releases?" Nvidia Flunky: "There's no pandemic to create a shortage to drive up demand for the smaller supply driving up the price..." Nvidia head: "We're gonna reduce the supply of the RTX 40 series to make room for when the 50 series releases ...."

I was gonna suggest maybe using GOG Galaxy to access your steam games after merging/intergrating the accounts but it's requiring windows 8.0 now also. Sorry. -
