The following are taken from google's browser privacy policy which I'll link to also.https://policies.google.com/privacy "When you create a Google Account, you provide us with personal information that includes your name and a password. You can also choose to add a phone number or payment information to your account. Even if you aren’t signed in to a Google Account, you might choose to provide us with information — like an email address to communicate with Google or receive updates about our services." "We collect information about the apps, browsers, and devices you use to access Google services, which helps us provide features like automatic product updates and dimming your screen if your battery runs low." (So they always know where you are, what you're on and what you're doing) "The information we collect includes unique identifiers, browser type and settings, device type and settings, operating system, mobile network information including carrier name and phone number, and application version number. We also collect information about the interaction of your apps, browsers, and devices with our services, including IP address, crash reports, system activity, and the date, time, and referrer URL of your request."(If you get online they know how and who provided access and when) "We collect this information when a Google service on your device contacts our servers — for example, when you install an app from the Play Store or when a service checks for automatic updates. If you’re using an Android device with Google apps, your device periodically contacts Google servers to provide information about your device and connection to our services. This information includes things like your device type and carrier name, crash reports, which apps you've installed, and, depending on your device settings, other information about how you’re using your Android device."(And the only way I see to stop this blatant invasion of privacy by them is to turn off all access to the internet for google services.) "We collect information about your activity in our services,The activity information we collect may include: Terms you search for Videos you watch Views and interactions with content and ads Voice and audio information Purchase activity People with whom you communicate or share content Activity on third-party sites and apps that use our services Chrome browsing history you’ve synced with your Google Account If you use our services to make and receive calls or send and receive messages, we may collect call and message log information like your phone number, calling-party number, receiving-party number, forwarding numbers, sender and recipient email address, time and date of calls and messages, duration of calls, routing information, and types and volumes of calls and messages." (And this is just the stuff BEFORE the info they collect when you're going to bury the body...U know that GPS stuff.ROTFL) Edit: My wife said I should include that I'm paranoid about them watching me, but am I REALLY paranoid when they are watching?

LockBit ransomware developer extradited to the US

I also check the domain sending the suspect email to me and if it doesn't match known ones of the site it's supposedly from, I report it to the legit sites phishing link. -
In 2018 sixty percent of us security cameras used the effected chipset. We may have blocked Huawei from imports, but people still purchase the cheapest they can get away with. HiSilicon is owned entirely by them and helped them top AMD's profits in 2018.3rd party and used sales will get around the issue of never being able to find any more. smh

You said you had a case, I ran across this combo on amazon earlier tonight and a set of 32GB ram is another 45-50 dollars.Edit: The DDR5 ram is roughly 75-80 dollars. My bad. Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM

Ran across a video today that seems too good to be true. Bolt Graphics is promising multiples of performance increases over the RTX 5090 using half the power with the options to have up to several hundred gigs of ram on the card.

Using Chrome on a 7" Amazon fire HD and I have the same thing as you. This makes sense to me, I'm saving the change to my edit.

Talk about timing, wife tossed me a shirt to change into cause she was doing laundry. It was my EVGA GEFORCE RTX Shirt I won entering the drawing. Ended up with 2 of them.

The last thing I should have to do is turn off the option to connect to wireless devices that are in reach but not currently connected to my network. That option is on by default with Amazon. WHY would I even want to create a connection to some wireless printer in my apt building that I have no clue who owns it?Why would I let other devices randomly connect to the Internet with my service?

Don't know if this is the kind of result you're looking for, but maybe a VPN? One of the free ones that don't track or sell? I use one cause I'm too lazy to put my I.D. into the browser for the state to make sure I'm old enough to see porn. That and it's none of their business what I look at. I only turn it on when going where they want to track me. Then it's back to normal connection the rest of the time.

Along with the performance, I miss their b stock page. Being able to find refurbished warrantied products right in one place was awesome. The closest thing now I've found is Zotac's page for refurbs.

When I was looking at prices and upgrade routes the 5070ti was what I compared against in real world price.
-
The sad thing about this is that I have been using Nvidia for all new graphics for 20years. This has me looking at bundle deals to go from am4 to am5 and a Intel b580 for less than the cost of a 5070ti.

New Steam Deck Update Gives Millions Of Users Improved Battery Life
schuck6566 replied to Kaz's topic in Hardware News
I appreciate that the Deck is a more comprehensive PC than I thought it to be (Thanks to LabRat's post on my survey!) but doesn't that make the Steam OS release of software & Firmware updates 3 years in about equal to Microsoft's Feature updates in Windows? "These updates typically include new features, visual improvements, and significant enhancements to improve the overall experience and security. If you use Windows Update, the system will download only the files necessary for the upgrade depending on your current configuration, making the download package up to 35% smaller." In other words based on your hardware and software already there.Seems like again they are doing what others are doing already lol. I would purchase a deck over the other options on the market without a second thought after looking at all the reviews, just something about the original story annoyed me. maybe I'm just being too judgy. -
Welcome! Hope all of us can make you feel at home here.
