If you're gonna use the argument of mergers shouldn't be allowed because they they will hurt a company if the purchasing company makes a game exclusive, then you need to stop ALL pre-existing developers from being purchased by any company. After all, Naughty Dog was purchased by Sony in 2001(17 years after it was founded) and if you look at the games published and their platforms, you'll see that PS became the sole platform between 2001 and 2022 when they released 2 games also on PS and Windows. I can only speak as to what actually happened to me. I was using TPM via the encryption abilities of my Ryzen 2700x (so as to make my comp Win 11 compatible even though I hadn't switched yet) Had a bios issue and while tracking it down I did the old school clearing of the CMOS as 1 of my ways to find the problem. When I finally got back up and a semi current bios installed,when I tried switching TPM back on it told me it was unable to because the key didn't match the 1 on the drive. Doing it anyway caused my boot drive to disappear. Turn TPM back off and Boot drive was back. I wonder if I would have had to do a clean install of windows if I'd upgraded the cpu?

Agree,but for a different reason, if there's an issue with a bios update or other bios/Hardware issue that causes you to have to clear the CMOS you loose the tpm key and when trying to turn tpm back on you loose any info that was previously encrypted. The Encrypted data IS available with tpm turned off, so what's the point? If someone can access "secure" data simply by turning off tpm in the bios, how secure is it really?

my internet/phone is roughly $70 after the discounts we weaseled out of them, then we applied the FCC's affordable connectivity program to the account and THAT gave us $35 credit towards our internet every month. So,base rate is now under $35 a month for the following speeds and unlimited Long distance ph. (We DO get random service drops and starts which are annoying as f@&k but it may be because of my wifi not being set up well,and too many things between router and systems.) First shot is test taken from source 50 miles away from independent server. Second shot is test taken from Suddenlink server roughly 400 miles away. Though it says my service is still Suddenlink,they were bought up by Optimum in my area.Even the new modem I got has Optimum name on it. All test using Speed test with 7 tabs open besides the speedtest tab. in FireFox.

2 MSRP 3090's at launch would cost $3,000 for 48GB ram. Meanwhile you could get 4 3080's for $2800 and a 3070 for $500. $300 more for the same ram spread over 3 more cards. They actually make more $ by the memory per card sold. (like that's a surprise that nvidia is looking for a profit)

On ebay, the RTX 3080 10GB models are averaging between $475 & $575 before tax/shipping. Problem is most are mining cards and some look a bit rough.(1 actually had rust) And most don't even state they were used for mining,guessing on the fact they have multiples for sale.
