  1. @ENTERPRISElooks like that will work. Is it okay to start contributing now?
  2. I do see those subsections, just no link in them that takes me to a means of establishing recurring monthly payments. I do see the If you wish to make a one off donation. Please kindly donate HERE instead. That "Here" is also the only link in each of those new subsections.
  3. I looked, but didn't see any buttons or links for the new recurring payments on that page. I did see the link to the one time payment; is that what we're supposed to use for the time being? as they say in southern France, ¡ joe soy perdido !
  4. So if you've been following the latest purchases thread, you might have seen my post about the steel and sandpaper that's supposed to be delivered Tuesday. I've also been checking out buffers/polishers (good ones, like Jet, Baldor, etc.), as a means to take my shiny metals to their next levels, but decided to first give the process a try using the motor from a cheap bench grinder I've already got. So, I'll order 5/8 spindles for it, as well as some spin on buffing and polishing disks. I've already got buffing and polishing compounds on hand which I've been using on my copper, stainless, and aluminum. That's been hard labor until now though. Here's the cheap motor I mentioned. It does work, but is not dual speed (would have liked to have ~half that speed available as well):
  5. To prep what's above for buffing and polishing (been running low on the coarse grits):
  6. Ready when you are. Was obviously a great suggestion
  7. Though I'm retired now (more or less because of age related eyesight issues), I've done all sorts of websites and server maintenance since the mid '90s. That includes static and dynamic sites, sites created using content management systems (e.g., like WordPress/BBPress, Drupal, Magento, BigCommerce, XML help-based sites created using FrameMaker, Flare, etc.), and sites that included forums (e.g., BBPress, Simple Machines--also known as SMF, etc.). Mostly on LAMP platforms (including AWS). Over the years I've done such work for some fairly well-known corporate players; both as full-time staff, and as a consultant. While £150/month for SEO upkeep might not be unreasonable depending on what that involved, I'd be really curious to know specifically what that entailed as well as what you got for your investment at "full tilt." Btw, I'm not totally blind (yet). I'm more like Mr. Magoo with a good set of coke bottle glasses. ...and I'm exactly like him when I can't find my glasses in the morning.
  8. These are tough times for a lot of folks for fairly obvious reasons. That said, I know I'd be among those willing to help out. Stay strong, E @ENTERPRISE; but do what you must to take care of you and those close to you first.
  9. ^now i'm hungry. ordered some more material for custom reservoir brackets:
  10. If you're going to do your own cables, it might be smart if you familiarize yourself with the following ( at least the illustrations of what's good vs. what's bad): MOLEX QUALITY CRIMPING HANDBOOK Order No: TM-638000029 Release Date: 09-04-03 Revision: D Revision Date: 12-23-09 https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/ats/TM-638000029.pdf Also see: MOLEX INDUSTRIAL CRIMP QUALITY HANDBOOK Doc No: TM-640160065 Release Date: 00-00-02 Revision: B Revision Date: 10-16-09 https://media.digikey.com/pdf/data sheets/molex pdfs/tbo quality crimp handbook.pdf Older version of Quality Crimping Handbook https://www.shearwater.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/qual_crimp.pdf Matt's Tech Pages: Common Wire-To-Board, Wire-To-Wire Connectors, And Crimp Tools http://www.mattmillman.com/info/crimpconnectors/ I shared that info here and elsewhere mostly because of a/the discussion around what makes a bad crimp (e.g., like crimping over paracord, etc.) and what might make a good crimp. Since the docs I shared are actually geared toward making good crimps using "official" crimping tools (which are expensive enough to be out of reach to many AND require special knowledge/experience to use properly), I think the most important info in those docs are the pix illustrating what makes a good crimp, at least through the ATX PCIe 3/4 specifications. That said, changes were introduced in the new ATX PCIe 5 specification that companies like Molex, TE/Amphenol, etc., have also introduced new crimp pins for (e.g., for 16AWG wire), as well as for their respective connectors and tooling, which involve changes to way these new crimped pins grip wire insulation (which differs somewhat from previous methods). The assumption at this point in time is that crimp pins like these could/might/perhaps must be used in the new GPU PCIe 5.0 Gen5 High Power (12VHPWR) 12-Pin (3.0mm Pitch) Connector, with 16AWG wire. Pix of an example of what I'm referring to follow (see attached images below). 11. Reposting some earlier images in this thread as a recap re. intent (which is always in a constant state of flux). My goals with the Yuelbeast Atlas II chassis include the options of running it independently on its own, as well as making it pluggable such that I will be able to integrate it into the Muffler Bearings portion of the Manhattan Project. No pump needed. Regular vigorous exercise also does the trick...
  12. Just saw your added edit: yeah, I could do that, but I think I'm going to construct an entirely new, much shorter cable that includes the cap, but not the twisted triplet. I'll use the 16AWG FEP I have on hand for that. I have the other parts I need already as well. Donkeyshorts! (that's iamjanco for Bedankt! )
  13. I hear ya, but I've only got inches to play with and really don't need an extension. I'm thinking that the crosstalk in question might just be minimal given the length of the wiring involved, which I could probably check using an oscope. If my ocd were to really get to me (it likely won't, unless an (e.g.) oscope proved otherwise), I could always use the shielded wire approach instead of the twisted pair/triplet method. That way I could still sleeve the cable AND add a few cable combs. The following markup roughly indicates where the psu and mb 24 pin connectors are:
  14. Just released, looks like it could be fun (it's a boomer shooter): POSTAL: Brain Damaged Watched the dev play it for a while; Reminds me a lot of Duke.
  15. Levity for fans of AC/DC:
  16. Working on putting together a sleeved 24pin ATX cable now, which presents a bit of a conundrum: the filter cap on the 12VDC line; and the twisted triplet (pwr good, +5 Stdby, and gnd). On the one hand I could just ignore them both like most cable modders do; but being of sound electronics fundamentals I realize the purpose they serve. It's only one cap though which I could move closer to the 24 pin plug and package somewhat neatly. That twisted triplet though makes me wonder just how much crosstalk that combination of wires might create when untangled. Anyway, I think I've got some of those 470 µF 16 V caps in my spares.
  17. Thanks. That PCB is just provisions for fusible 12VDC. Right now the two banks of fans and the two pumps are connected to it. Finished up that cable I was working on in the previous pic:
  18. Calling it quits for the evening. WIP update:
  19. So I was finally able to finish the overview article I did and handed it off to E for review, editing, what have you. He's swamped at the moment, and probably will get to it sometime later this week: Now it's back to my own wip, which currently includes using black hot wax to secure cables, as well as completing psu power runs for an Aquaero 6LT, an OCTO, a Hubby 7, and a Farbwerk 360. Then it's time to figure out where I need to stick temp sensors, flow meters, etc., and run the cabling for them, and install the basics to allow for the QD hookup of the two MORA420s and its accompanying control panel. Fittings and hardline plumbing inside the Atlas II will probably be held off to last.
  20. Yeah, just that after I posted previously. Hope it works out for you.
  21. That's a real shame after all that work--sorry to see that Here's some info about ModWater that's a couple of years old now, but may still be relevant: ModMyMods.com premix Fluids is made from Mayhems concentrate Also see: Tons of flakey debris in loop Mick, the original owner of Mayhems, sold the brand not too long back. Hard to say if the new owners might have screwed something up.
  22. If I could have given you 100 thumbs up for that, I would have. Add the extremely excessive use of texting, selfies, and video captures to that list. Some of that is useful of course, but if horses did what a lot of smart phone users do with their phones, I'd say shoot them.
