  1. More wip: added rad grills to top radiators; added di-noc stickers to all fan hubs; finished wiring for 12VDC from fuse block to all rad fans; finshed wiring for 12VDC from fuse block to D5 pumps; finished connecting pwm & speed signal wiring from all rad fans to OCTO; finished connecting pwm & speed signal wiring from D5 pumps to OCTO.
  2. More stuff showed up (the three look real enough; and a couple of matt black 360 radiator grills for the Atlas II build): Also, had to reach out to moddiy for a replacement. The FEP wire they sent me is 18AWG, not the 16AWG I ordered. They're going to rush a replacement to me. A comparison of the two sizes follows:
  3. NP, E, figured you were busy with something or other. I did just respond to your PM. Cheers!
  4. Yeah, you're right. You can view other's published posts via the dashboard, but not those in draft status. I just confirmed that.
  5. Okay, I've got it figured out (check out a preview of my draft article if you have access, which I think you do as an author). You have to make sure that when inserting a gallery you do so using the classic editor instead of the block editor. What threw me off is that the way the theme in use works it allows for a mix of sections that are created and managed using the classic editor, and a mix of sections that are blocks. If you try to create a gallery/lightbox combo in a section that is a block, you run into the problem I described in my previous post. I did watch the video noted in the PDF help doc, but it isn't very clear about that.
  6. I recall fond memories of wading through warmer sections of public swimming pools I used to frequent as a kid, while being surrounded by mysterious yellow clouds. Is that the kind of warm place you mean?
  7. So I'm in the middle of hacking together a "review" article and have a few questions that I've posed to E @ENTERPRISEwho might be too busy to get back to me at the moment. I did float them by a couple of folks in a Discord chat yesterday, but they didn't know the answers. Maybe someone else here might be able to provide them though (trying to finish this article by the end of this month). Some notes first: I come with/from an advanced website development background, which includes among many other things the use of WordPress and other content management systems and forum software. That means I know how things are supposed to work. I am also retired now though and don't do any website development work currently; I've read the help PDF document that was put together to help contributors put together WordPress posts. It may be dated though, as some things in it don't seem to work the way the way they should, which leads me to...; I would like to use the gallery functionality such that I can put together a collection of image thumbnails representing larger images that display in a modal lightbox when those thumbnails are clicked on; whether as a slideshow or individually. The only thing I seem to be able to create are galleries consisting of selected images that display as the size they're saved to disk to on the server. The media library seems to be set up to restrict what authors can actually do using it, especially when it comes to image sizing choices. These limitations might also be dictated by customizations made to the site's theme functionality (e.g., the theme's function.php file; and perhaps other theme files). I suspect that isn't the case though because a child theme set doesn't appear to be in use in as per a looksee into the the site's sourcecode. Anyway, I can't seem to make no. 3 happen the way things are set up in the dashboard for authors now, no matter what I do. What, if anything, am I doing wrong? Could be the issue is that is just the way the dashboard is configured for authors now, but figured someone here might be able to help clear that up for me. TIA for any help provided! (now it's back to your regularly scheduled programming)
  8. Watched the following video. If anyone deserves to be idolized as a craftsman, it's the guy doing the build it stars:
  9. I like that idea but I don't think it would go over well this soon after my unbanning
  10. Read a number of his novels (including the Ringworld Series) right around the time of the Apollo missions. Was a big sci fi fan as a kid and read tons of the stuff.
  11. I know I'm a glutton for punishment. I'm not very bright
  12. Yeah I couldn't get over how slow it was, I couldn't 't deal with that and just went back to using each drive individually. Sure it makes my Plex scans longer but isn't such a pain to copy files over now. This was also 10+ years ago so I'm sure much has been improved since then
  13. Ordered some additional supplies from moddiy:
  14. Thanks! But I honestly don't think of myself as that much of a craftsman as let's say someone like (e.g.) @LiquidHaus (not sure if he's an active member here), but I do try. I think the anal in me that might appear ocd-like comes from my more recent years doing technical writing. That said, I do have ~45 years experience working with electronics, with much of that being hands-on, fairly high tech. I'm talking more about how things work though; and not so much about how they look. I actually have multiple sources that I've used for cable combs, the two most recent being: Clockwerk Industries | PC Modding Store & Custom Solutions CLOCKWERKINDUSTRIES.COM PC Modding Store & Custom Solutions MAINFrame Customs | PC Cable Sleeving and Custom PC Cables MAINFRAMECUSTOM.COM Best selection of PC cable sleeving supplies at the lowest price. All of our PC Cable Sleeving materials have been thoroughly tested to provide the best possible quality and satisfaction. The best custom PC cables... You might try either of those, in the order I listed them.
  15. bant coz i think i'll wake this thread from the dead: anyone up for some cucumber cat?
  16. I think I'll take your word for it...
  17. Lots of extra points (+200) for the levitating kicks
  18. Anyway, more wip, shortened the cables on the radiator fans so they'd work well with the DeWire pcbs I'm using; mounted the fans; mounted the rads. I'll split the radiator fans into two channels; one for each loop.
  19. It's I'm not as bad as it I look(s) They (Amazon) just seem to be screwing up more and more lately; and they're definitely not getting any cheaper I'd hold Bezos accountable, but he probably wouldn't give a rat's rear orifice.
  20. I don't do this often, but... now I'll have to make my own brackets. ughhh. (but I'll get over it) rant: Link to brackets in question.
  21. ^Kept my eye on the video for "dual-menu" coffee shops I might have visited decades ago, but I didn't see any. Historical context: knew the area somewhat well, as we walked back and forth through it from the long boats on the harbor by the central train station (some of the guys I knew from Torrejon/Madrid who got out and stayed in Europe bunked on the long boats; one might say we were frequently on the road again...). Me, I was mostly there (a-dam) for the "ambience"; and not necessarily the curiosities that were the working gals. At the time, I lived about 45 minutes away in a town called Soest while I was stationed in Holland. Added (true story): the first time I heard the song that follows I was sitting at the bar next to Mike F. (from Torrejon) in one of those special "dual-menu" coffee shops, kicked back, enjoying the atmosphere (and the shop's wares).
  22. Did you order the frame via Tabao, Ali Express, or eBay?
