  1. I actually think the Docker package for Win 10 that I installed may have done all that for me, including answering the question I asked. I'm hoping to find out soon enough: I'll worry about the api points when I get there.
  2. @zodac Just an update here, Z (and anyone else who's interested). Ended up having to troubleshoot Hyper-V on my older workstation. Turns out VT-x (VT-d) was disabled in my bios. Got that resolved, Docker is now running properly (or at least it seems to be). Next up is integrating the repo. Anyway, Winblows. Git related question: years ago, when I last used Git, there was an app that I used to pull and push packages. Don’t remember the name, but figured out I’d ask if you had any recommendations as far as what’s best these days, keeping in mind I’m working in Win 10 running a virtualized Linux environment. A cheap, paid subscription is okay, if that helps.
  3. Just a short note here that I finally installed Docker (the Win 10 version) on my PC to work on the GUI for the folding data tracker. Going to try linking up with the Github repo tomorrow. Since I'm not familiar with this environment, taking care of updating the GUI could take a little longer than some had hoped for. We shall see.
  4. $90/mo for what is now 450/22 (just checked--it's been slowly eeking up and is still Charter's copper where i'm at). no other game in town.
  5. Yeah, I get what you mean. Hopefully your waterlogged board wasn't damaged.
  6. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so much easier on my eyes, jaws, gut, synapses, etc. thanks probably not helping your pocket much though, eh? @Avacado
  7. |||||| BEGIN TRANSMISSION |||||| HI, AUTOBOT RESPONDER HERE. IAMJANCO IS UNAVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT, BUT THE FROTHING AT THE MOUTH SEEMS TO HAVE SLOWED DOWN. THE SPASMS HAVE ALSO STOPPED AND HE DOES APPEAR TO BE RESTING ON THE FLOOR NOW, SO WE'RE EXPECTING HIM TO PULL THROUGH. WE HAVE MADE HIS RAY CHARLES SUNGLASSES READY FOR HIM TO DEPLOY AND EXPECT HIM TO CONTINUE IN THAT MODE FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER WEEK. HE WILL BE BACK. |||||| END TRANSMISSION ||||||
  8. Ha! But unless I post something with audio attached, you'd have to be here to hear it Anyway, true, just think of me as Morbius in the world of the Krell if you like (I see through it all because it's me). It's like a transparent extension of my mind that I don't even notice; equipped with monsters from the id that don't vaporize when you point an imaginary blaster at them and pull the trigger
  9. Feels a little weird thanking a post about anything catching fire, but I did it anyway. Oh, and thanks for updating your avatar. The previous one felt a little weird as well.
  10. I could have listened to Streisand's Memories, but the following were way more fun:
  11. 4nm?!?!?!!! nnsfw (not necessarily...)
  12. had to get a few hours sleep, didn't help much... okay, np, I'll call them new, open box.
  13. I'm honestly not competing; and if it'll make others happy, you can relegate mine to the waste bin. Spent all night getting things running on the Dark Hero/5950X/KPE 3090 combo and I'm at the point where I can start making bios adjustments. Need to load drivers now, Winblows, and I'll probably also dedicate another drive to Ubuntu. Then there's getting things set up for the folding stats gui work, yadda, yadda, yadda. Busy times ahead. Anyway, I don't want to toy around with the bios settings too much at this point in time and will probably grab some from 'the 'net and run with it. Now that I know the KPE isn't totally dead, once I've got the basics behind me I'll start tearing it apart and working on my custom water cooling solution for the front and rear sides of it. Also have a Heatkiller VI inbound for the CPU; right now, the KPE won't fit in the first pcie slot because of the air cooler on the cpu, so got to change that to water as well... Kinda neat that the fan's not running on the KPE (yet). I'm also thinking that default voltage looks a little high on the cpu at the moment.
  14. Fantastic! I can finally unload my collection of used blowup dolls. Buy two and get a third one free. Buy ten and I'll throw in a six-pack of paper towels.
  15. Interesting (3080 ti eBay listings). It's not like it wasn't expected.
  16. Congrats!!! But pray tell, how many CTRL+F5's did it take? Btw, we'll see about that fps stuff (mine is bigger than yours) __________________________________________________________________ ◄ (insert favorite brainyquote there).
  17. kids these days. no imagination. waaaaaaaaay back when, we would just pretend to own something if we couldn't afford it. then they started importing all that cheap junk from japan...
  18. I was just about to write don't worry, pookie, she'll come back to you. it's just a fad thing.
