  1. At least I didn't have to tear down my folding rig, but I woke up this morning to the screen frozen, first time it's happened in over a month. I think it might have been Windows forcing an update, since it updated as soon as it was reset. I would use Linux if I knew how to tune GPU clocks and voltages outside of driver limits like in Afterburner. I'm not sure how long it was frozen, but it's been about 12 hours since I checked on it ?
  2. People hoarding toilet paper, then graphics cards, then my first cucumber from my garden got stolen by some sneaky critter on Sunday morning.
  3. @Avacado that new avatar +1 I'm like bwahahahahahahahha ? 10,000 win points for that.
  4. Well yesterday I was working on my son's friend's rig, and I really thought I was going to have to borrow parts from my folding rig, but I had a minor breakthrough troubleshooting, then today I'm out of town and hoping my folding rig doesn't catch fire while I'm gone like Avacado.
  5. Alright, bad news. As much as hate to do this, I need to borrow some parts off of my folding rig to make some emergency repairs to my son's friend's rig. It's going to have to go down tomorrow at least for 6 hours or so at the least, at worst for a few days until I get some more parts.
  6. I'm evga elite too but I couldn't even get the EVGA page to load lol.
  7. how on earth did you manage to get a 3080 ti?
  8. I'd really like to change out that B450 board with a Threadripper board if I can ever find one around $200. I should have bought that one I saw on ebay a couple weeks ago.
  9. Yeah I remember you saying that before so I have left the VRAM at stock 1200MHz while folding. I'll mess around with lowering it, but like you said it might be better left alone since it hasn't crashed in days.
  10. I can try. The most I've ever been able to bench the card in 3d stuff was 1225/1500. It's running at 33C under water with fans blowing on front and back of the PCB. This was the last generation of cards that wasn't using boost algorithms, just straight clocks, and straightforward overclocking. After I finish this next WU I'll try bumping it a bit and hopefully it remains stable. About 2:35 to go.
  11. Still on the HD 7850. OC is 1200/1200 compared to stock 860/1200 so +40% OC. Not sure how long it will survive, but it's running well at the moment. I actually took the advanced flag off. For some reason it kept crashing with that. It seems like it churns out a WU maybe twice a day lol. Very interesting stuff here: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-hd-7850.c1055 vs https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-960.c2637 Damn near identical core configuration but stock clock way lower on the HD 7850.
  12. Thumbnail image that blows up to full size if you click on it. Hideaway rig stats so you just see the name unless you click on it then see all the components. At least 3 rig slots would be nice, but more would be better
  13. Lol my 1 WU worth 10mil after multiplier. Too bad that card seems to * the bed on like half of the WUs. I doubt I can keep it going strong but hoping for the best. The HD 7850 is really on its last of nine lives.
  14. Dang it! Go figure as soon as activated all of the machines for the foldathon that something would be borked up. Gonna need you to remote in to like 4 different machines when you get a chance. I swear I put them on the new passkey but maybe I need to force them.
  15. All of them. I'm guessing the CPU WU server is crowded. Eventually they do fetch a WU, but not consistently quick like my GPU WUs.
  16. Seems like I only noticed it when I activated all my CPUs for this folding event. I'm running my computer (CPU+GPU), Ethan's (CPU+GPU), and Rachel's (integrated+GPU), and my test bench (CPU+GPU). I noticed it yesterday when I was setting them all up that sometimes it takes forever for CPU in the DL queue to get started or fetch a new unit. I'm folding only 8/12 of the CPU cores to leave some headroom.
  17. Make's sense. I'm only having the CPU units time out. I have reset lot's of times and sometimes that helps but mostly it doesn't ><
  18. Do you guys ever have to wait seemingly forever for one piece of hardware to download a Work Unit? I find that my CPUs especially get stuck in the download queue.
  19. It takes hours just to get a person on the line at paypal. Good luck!
  20. There's a guy on ebay that can create a new BIOS IC if yours is the removable kind. I've used him in the past.
  21. I have a GT 730 that overclocks like 40% but I can't put it under water because it's low profile and has weird shaped screw hole pattern that don't fit any of my generic blocks. Anyways was looking at the Firepros for just plain folding, not for ETF. Seemed like good compute power for cheaper than I can get teslas.
  22. Of particular interest are the Barco MXRT variants. They seem very cheap but has anyone ever fooled with a medical card? I'm looking at: mxrt 7400 specs mxrt 5500 specs FirePro W7000 specs
