    I changed all that last week and even put it under water with extra fans. It never ran hot. It won't even fold at stock clocks. Nothing else overclocked on that PC, even RAM running 2133 and new LEADEX PSU. But if it freezes again with the other card I'll have to keep troubleshooting. It could be a bad SSD, but I have another spare one.

    It's a 384 1050 clock (stock) R5 350 Oland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units#Radeon_HD_8000_series Radeon R7 350 (Oland XT) May 2015 OEM It rebrands as R5 250 Oland XT and Radeon HD 8670 and HD 7730 at various clock speeds but same core config according to what I see on my GPU-Z and comparing to Wikipedia.     That card is toast. It keeps freezing. It also looks like it might have lost the WU. R.I.P. MSI TFIII HD 7850. You gave me epic overclocks of 1225/1500 and earned me many HWBOT cups over the last decade. I used you and abused you, but know that I loved you. I'm going to put that OEM Oland card, the RX 350 in there. I'll link you to the card specs and the equivalent listing on the stats site since it's a rebrand.

    I set it to fold last night and ofc this morning it was frozen. I backed my OC down a hair and set it again. Still 42% on this WU. ETA 6 hours so we'll see what points it yields.

    Actually going to switch back to the HD 7850 tomorrow. I just needed to test that 350 today. I did find it in the database in the form of 8670 and other rebrands.

    What is the tentative date for the next competition? This was pretty fun, even with the teething issues. You guys even finally nailed the stats finally. Suggestion though...there were so many threads to navigate about basically the same thing that I think I kind of got lost in the mix if I wasn't sub'd to each one of them. For the next competition, please try and get all the setup info, stats, and rules into the first post of just one main thread for the competition. I'd like a slot for CPU folding too if we can do that?

    If this is indeed going to be monthly, I would like to experiment some CPU folding in the future since I have an interesting overclocking chip on my test rig, a 1600 AF.

    Cool so though I was invited in, and told to fold, apparently I wasn't actually in, lol. I need to tear that rig back down for maintenance again anyway so I'll go ahead and finish my W/U.

    They were some old Cooler Master JetFlos that I glued back together last month but a few days ago they started acting up again. Luckily I had some spare EVGA FX fans which I found this morning because those JetFlos were getting on my last nerve. I really thought they were going to pop themselves off the radiator and fly around the room like a helicopter.

    Alright then I'll set my CPU to finish and let the HD 7850 keep on running.

    Well whatever I need to fold on, let me know so I can terminate the other client lol. Right now both the CPU and GPU on that little tester rig are folding away overclocked juiced to the gills. 45 minutes left on my current GPU WU and 5 hours left on the CPU but I might be asleep by then. It's a Ryzen 1600 but an AF model that overclocks to 4.2GHz with low voltage, and a Radeon HD 7850 @1200MHz. This rig can dedicated fold 24/7. My others cannot due to works, schools, games, ect.

    I always wonder what exactly those companies put in the "coolant solutions" to make the different colors and not screw up the physical and chemical properties. I have a theory that it is glycol (propylene glycol is in food coloring). I suspect that to make white/pastels they are using titanium dioxide. I have read that in some industrial experiments that it can help improve heat transfer. I doubt it. For like $5 I ordered some pure white powder and it arrived today. I drained 150ml of water from my tester/folder rig, mixed up 150ml of distilled water with 15ml of the powder and added it to the rig. What could go wrong?

    I'm not impressed by any of the 500 series boards really. The good ones are way overpriced. Keep that 300 series board until you absolutely must upgrade it for something you actually need. I have three B450 rigs and two X470 rigs and they do what I need. One of the X470s now runs a 5800x with 64GB of RAM without any issues. The other runs a 3600 with 32GB RAM. I don't need faster NVMe drives, I need MORE NVMe drive slots and more USB ports, and that's about the only reason I could see swapping any of my boards out.
