  1. Good going on choosing a C5F. When I had my FX-8350 I ran it on that board at 5GHz daily 1.55v. wouldn't pass IntelBurnTest but was stable in benching and gaming. Hope this works out for you.
  2. All prizes sent out. I hope we have as much turn out next month, sans prizes!
  3. Okay, tenchimuyo93 did not respond to me within 72 hours to claim his foldathon prize. The new winner is @steakikan; please pm me with your PayPal email address within 72 hours to claim your $50. I will send a pm so you get an email, assuming you have pm email notifications on. If this person does not claim their prize, that's it. I'm not drawing again and the only winner will be axipher who responded days ago.
  4. Nevermind, I kind of figured this out on my own.
  5. Hi all, I want to permanently and finally get rid of Armoury Crate and Aura Creator. I've installed OpenRGB and plugins under Linux and after messing with it enough, got it to 1) do my vaporwave color pattern and 2) load on login and apply the profile. However, compared to Asus Aura Creator, for some reason the lights are very pastel and dull. I can provide a screenshot if necessary. Basically its set to Magenta and Cyan and the proper RGB color (255/0/255) but for whatever reason the color isn't as deep and looks more pastel than Aura Creator by a significant amount. Just looking for help with whatever setting for the effect plugin that will make the colors brighter and more accurate. Thanks in advance.
  6. The memclk and uclk are no longer tied to the Infinity Fabric clock. This means there is no huge latency penalty for running RAM "out of ratio". This means that 3800 RAM/1900 IFclk or 3733/1866 doesn't need to be done nor anything like it. For a 7900x, you can take RAM up to 8000MHz depending on what RAM you get. For a 7700x/7800X3D or any single chiplet SKU, there is really no benefit to running RAM that high as the single chiplet design does not benefit from such high RAM speed. So 6000/6200/6400 MHz with uclk=memclk (which will run at half the RAM speed) with CAS around 36 is essentially the best you can do with a 7700x or 7800X3D. Someone like @J7SC_Orion or @kalizcould actually probably explain exactly why those lower speeds are all that's needed for the SKUs I mentioned; having a 7900X3D and 7600MHz RAM I don't really know the details myself. Also, with Zen 4 you can run the Infinity Fabric quite a bit higher, I run mine at 2100MHz with 1.25v SoC voltage, but some people can do 2133 or even 2200.
  7. @tenchimuyo93 I need your email for the Foldathon prize, you've won $50. Please send me your PayPal email. If I don't have it in 72 hours I will redraw the prize. Thanks. (Can someone who knows him inform him possibly?)
  8. Okay, I drew prizes for this months foldathon. @tenchimuyo93 and @axipher please pm me here on the forums with your PayPal email address. Payments will not go out until the 27th at the earliest and the 29th at the latest. Partner is out of town currently and she controls the pursestrings. Lol. Great Foldathon as always guys. Thanks @damricand @firedfly @Fluxmavenskinny arse can go die under a bridge. Hehe.
  9. Yeah this must be pretty terrible for you. I have issues with my 2nd CCD on my 7900X3D not boosting properly in benchmarks (it stays at 5.2 instead of going to 5.6) and I've tried everything to solve it, worked with Asus as well as AMD and nothing has fixed it. It sucks when you have a problem with a rig that you cannot fix.
  10. Hey @J7SC_Orionwhat motherboard do you have? Is it this? Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM I am highly considering getting a different board to see if 1. I can clock my RAM higher and 2. If I can get 5650MHz boost using PBO for benching. I am sick of thus pos Rog Strix X670E-E gaming wifi board. Updated it to AGESA 1.1.0.1 today and it still didn't fix my 2nd CCD boosting problem for benching. It topped out at 5.2GHz running 3dmark11. Unfortunately the new bios included a LED controller update that made it so when I rebooted to Linux, it would not keep the colors I had set in Windows and was doing animated rainbow puke after it POSTED. Back to the older bios now and that fixed it. I guess I'll stick with it and deal, I will probably talk to the wife about a new board after the holidays.
  11. Huh. A few years ago for Christmas my mom got me a handheld air compressor that was wireless, because I use canned air too, and it was terrible and had no force behind it. For really dusty PCs, I use a Shop Vac that has a detachable hose and either a suck or blow mode (lol) and I use the blower and the thing moves a ton of air. I used to use canned air in my rigs, and the electronics wipes that come in a can, but those leave clothy residue behind everywhere. So, I have switched to just using 70% isopropyl alcohol pads on the inside of the rig- all over the inside of the case, on the dust filters and even on the top of GPUs since backplates became standard. Never had a problem with it thus far. Been doing it that way for years. Unplugging the rig and moving it into my work room and blowing it out with the shop vac works too but with how bad my pain has gotten I have trouble doing that. This looks like it might be a good solution, and I'd no longer need the alcohol pads. I'll see if my mom will get it for me for Xmas. I like that it comes with various brushes too.
  12. Has @Fluxmavenshipped these out yet? I am yet to get mine. Thanks
  13. Square and I'm the one who suggested it, but from the looks of it they will stay round. I'll live
  14. I have a video of ELIZA on my Macintosh SE. An early AI Rogerian psychologist. It was developed in the 60s. Go read about it or something. So yes, they've been working on this ish for a very long time now.
