Microsoft Corp. revealed today that it has been experimenting with what it calls a “two-phase immersion cooling technology” using a liquid that boils at extremely low temperatures to keep its data centers cool.

 

The company explained in a post today on its Innovation blog that it has already implemented the technology in production at its Quincy, Washington-based Azure data center.

...you should talk to DerBauer...back in 2017 (+ before, + after), DerBauer had some fun with Novec...  I remember him using it on a dual Epyc, but he obviously went on from there...

  

 

 

 

 

I understand from people who have used Novec that air-borne particles / pollution can make it potentially conductive, so no eating salty french fries near-by. 

 

If you want to get really serious, you can ask Kingpin for his "closed-loop" LN2 system...those actually do exist in real life. D-Wave Systems (Quantum Computing) which is about 20 min from our place uses s.th. approximating a closed-loop LN2 cooling system
