I apologize for linking to another forum but this * cracks me up. These douchers are giving away a Ryzen 2 CPU and can't be assed to supply even a stock cooler.

LOL! I like how they highlighted it as a "3900XT (without cooler)".

 

I like having stock coolers around, as a watercolor, I don't have aftermarket heatsinks lying around for doing quick tests.

 

EDIT: Well at least not for AMD. Have plenty of Intel stock coolers lying around.

I mean surely they can afford to at least include a used wraith spire or something to go with the generations old CPU they dug out of the OEM return bin.

 

Seriously though, that store on Thursdays is such a farce yet I can't help but join the queue no matter how futile.

I guess I lucked out having a Micro Center by me, though admittedly I got this 5600X on a Newegg shuffle when they first started. In retrospect, kinda wish I just held off and grabbed a 5900X when they started showing up at my local MC for $450 (they have since gone back up). 

 

I think I'll just stick with what I got, and grab whatever upgrade for my dead platform on the cheap when Zen 4 comes out. Mostly interested to see what happens with the 3D cache models, and if that will also go to a 5900X as the 5800X is not the one I really wanted.
