Google, it appears, is building its own emulator to bring Windows games to its Linux-based cloud service and wants to teach third-party developers to do the same. We can thank Reddit user marvolonewt for the info, who found it within a description of a session that’s scheduled during the Google for Games Developer Summit on March 15. Sounds like Google is going to try to do the same thing Valve is doing with Proton/Steam Deck. Still, I don't see this doing much to help Stadia. Of all the Streaming services, Stadia by far has the worst pricing model and that's really the main issue. No one wants to buy games at full price just for streaming.

Doesn't make sense for Google to develop their own.  Proton is WINE with Valves own patches that often get upstreamed into WINE.  It would be better for everyone if they would contribute to the WINE project.

Is Stadia even relevant anymore ? Perhaps they improved the service but I don't get the pricing.
