ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event.

 

In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below.

 

How to participate:

During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902
You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username.

 

Prizes:

• $25 BWG (minimum of 10 work units) - 
• $25 axipher(minimum of 10 work units) - 
• Donations from @bwalker36 in spoiler below

So we will have 3 prizes, with the winners chosen at random from those who compete and have at least 10 WUs completed.  We will draw 1-3 and they can pick the prize they want in order, number 3 doesn't get a choice :).  It probably goes without saying but I will not be in the drawing for prizes as I don't want this stuff anymore lol. 

 

1. Gigabyte 980 Ti Gaming G1, Custom Bios, was just taken apart and repasted with new fans.  If I remember correctly I was able to get ovet 1510 core on this guy.
2. 8700k, Asus Tachi, 16gb ram, I could hit 4.8 with ease on this guy and board combo I'm sure someone better at tweaking could hit 5ghz.  
3. 4690k

All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username.  Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus.  Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that.  This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey.

Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners.

I'm going to be a little late on the start.... I'm on second shift for a while and won't be home till after midnight central time.  drat it all.

Bedroom rig is up and folding. Still deciding if I want to leave my main rig folding while I'm out of town for a week. If I do, I'll drop the power limit way down. My roommate has been rendering on his 3090s so the home office is already borderline unbearably hot. Don't want to be a jerk contributing to the problem when I'm not there to share in the suffering. 

 

When I got back from Michigan, I conveniently left my travel rig in my soulless cubicle (that I'm thankfully rarely in). Figured might as well fold with free power

Same here. I have redundant pumps and rules set in Aquasuite to shut the PC down if flow rate or temps get bad, but I still don't like running it when I'm not home. 

 

Not sure why, I've had very few failures over the years and never lost hardware. My first D5 which was a full speed non vario lasted 9 years.

Very late start for me, but I got some GPUs up and folding earlier this morning.  I'll just keep them folding for a few days to make up for the lost time.

Hadn't checked on the rigs at all but remoted into them a bit ago. (Lots of zooming in attempting this from my phone ). Found the GPU slot failed on the 2080. I'm not sure how long that was down for. 

 

@mx500torid what all hardware are you running? We finished super close. IIRC we were really close in 24hour average last month too. Either way, good job
