Will order the blitz part 1. I think part 2 can be replaced with distilled water.

You need to be careful with that. If you do use part 1 (A strong acid) and don't use Part 2 (Strong base), you could have an overly acidic loop that will strip your nickel plating. Just make sure if you do it that way, you flush the * out of the rad BEFORE connecting it to your loop.

Hello all! Am starting my first External Watercooling setup and will need some advice on the setup and part list 😄

Here my build:

Intel 13900k Waiting to receive it!

OLOY 4000mhz cl14 gear 1 2x16gb

Sapphire 6800XT

Msi Z690 A Pro

Now to the part list:

Radiator: Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 1080mm

Fan: Arctic P12 120mm

Radiator Feet: Some aliexpress Radiator Feet i ordered. One in plastic one in aluminium. 7$ plastic 20$ metal.

Waterblock LGA 1700: Ordered a byskski block from Aliexpress. For 45$ it nickel and acrylic. Seem like nickel and copper work together?

Fitting: Pending no idea what to get i would love a simple quick connect setup but i never used those.

1\2 3\4 tubing possibly

PUMP and Res combo : Thinking about this the medium or large here https://www.dazmode.com/shop/watercooling/reservoirs/reservoirs-w-pump-mount/d5-barrel-310-reservoir-top-combo-clear-pump-installation-optional-large-rev3/

External Fan Controller? Trying to figure how i can run the fan out of the case. I want nothing powered via the computer so i can move the radiator easily.

I am looking forward to to this build...👍 😃

For fans, I seem to have developed an Arctic P12 PST PWR addiction (have over 50 of them across two loops). I buy the no-RGB cheapo 5-packs at Memory Express and/or Canada Computers, btw.

For Quick disconnects, I highly recommend Koolance QD4s (pic below) - not cheap, but work great and offer low flow resistance for my 1/2 inner 3/4 outer diameter loops. I also use Koolance fittings for the tubing...QDs and fittings is not s.th. you want to go cheap on, re. potential leaks, especially with rotary-style fittings.

I'm hoping to see lots of updates on your 13900K project. Per this > post last March on MSI Z690 Unify X, that was primarily for Alderlake / Adobe workstation. A bit tempted now to plug in a 13900K / 7200 Mt RAM into one of the loops mentioned above for fun - but I'll wait a bit as it would mean setting reconfiguring both the CH8 DH / 5950Xand  the CH8/ 3950X into low-volume work servers and workstations, and the Alderlake wandering into another part somewhere in the office...

I got them in 5 pack from amazon 😀

Loop will only be cpu for now so quick disconnect arent really needed.

Now am thinking of delid / direct die. But am not too sure i want to risk it 😅🤣

The cpu run really well 😀 it cooler than my 12700k. Well i installed the contact frame so that may help alot too.

Here the feet i got for the rad on aliexpress.

...Amazon.ca sometimes has better prices for the 5-pack P12s (bought a few there as well), though sometimes Memory Express was a bit cheaper. Anyhow, I use them in push pull on the rads with high fpi / triple cores - in push / pull even at ~ 1800 rpm, they deliver as much cooling as my old GentleTyphoon 3K rpm 'push' fans, but are much quieter 😀

As to QDs, you might find that they come in handy down the line even beyond adding a GPU block. Then again, I switch systems and parts around a fair bit, so to me, they are an 'essential'.

I like those 'feet' you got from ALiExpress a lot !

Am used to 3k corsair fan

Il think about those quickconnect am not moving stuff often since am lazy haha.

Yea the feet are great and it aluminium 😁

Thinking about a gpu block so i can use the rad in front of the ac in the summer so am not heating the room to 30c 🤣

Worst case can use a solution of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to neutralize any acid and then proceed with flushing.

Update. Received a few week ago my Thermaltake D5 RES COMBO. And now am putting stuff in my cart for tubing fitting cleaning etc.

Should be able to make it run next month 😄

Started Running BOINC / ROSETTA@HOME and SIDOCK again and i need cooling for real.

Next summer i may upgrade to z790 and ddr5 if price get decent. Rosetta@home will probably require at least 64gb ram.

😃

Hardware upgrade

MSI Z790i Mini ITX 14 layer 10 phase

2x16gb DDR5 5600 cl36

CASE Coolermaster NR200 White

PSU Coolermaster V850 SFX in White

Pending i need to decide if i go with a internal 280mm rad as a option to make the case functionnal without the external rad really overkill for a cpu loop but i like it that ways.

What you thing Alphacool vs EK radiator?
