It is no secret that Intel will be launching more Raptor Lake CPUs very soon. In just 5 weeks the company is set to introduce a long lineup of desktop and mobile CPUs based on the updated Raptor Lake silicon. Not all the CPUs will be entirely new though, as some SKUs are said to be using older die from Alder Lake series.

According to this preliminary listing, the upcoming Core i9-13900KS processors would cost 972 CAD, which is 22% pricier than Core i9-13900K at the same store. This is Intel’s first consumer desktop processors with a 6 GHz clock out of the box. The company did not confirm the name of the processors, but a successor to Core i9-12900KS was almost guaranteed to be called 13900KS.

Wow 6ghz stock. And only 12 years ago or so I was running my 2500K at almost 5ghz...

On a serious note, I have no issue with the price. If Intel wants to release niche halo products for people who are willing to pay for extra bragging rights, seems perfectly fine to me. Definitely a product that does a lot more to boost the e-peen than it does for actual performance.

Yeah same. This is what a halo product is supposed to be. Not whatever nonsense is going on in GPU land.
