ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event.

 

In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below.

 

How to participate:

During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902
You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username.

All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username.  Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus.  Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that.  This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey.

Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners.

Our first 3-day challenge. If success, we will continue this for the winter months. As always, the start time is UTC, so next Friday for us in western hemisphere. Check the start time calculator to be sure.

Y'all already know I'm in. 

 

Might not have all the firepower online by then. Pulling apart two rigs to rob parts to build my mom a PC, then upgrading those rigs. All of which are SFF/ITX rigs and two of the three will have custom loops so idk how fast I'll turn all that around. 

 

May just run the 7700x + A770 air cooled for a while but I'm pretty sure F@H doesn't support Arc yet.

I sure hope it does. I want to see what that Arc can do.

Just tried and so far I can't get F@H to work with the Arc. Only detects CPU. When I go to slots and manually add a GPU it comes up as disabled.

You will have to jump through a couple hoops with the guys that run the whitelist on the official folding forum. It will sometimes take about a day for them to message you back, but they will, and they are helpful. If it is indeed possible, they will allow that card.

Probably confused the UTC Saturday midnight time. For Americans that means we have to start on Friday. But don't worry. This is a 3-day challenge so plenty of time for you to catch up. If this works out for everyone, I don't see why we shouldn't run 72 hour challenges through March.
