Android advice - how to increase active background apps?

Android advice - how to increase active background apps?

I'm on a Mediatek mt6753t octa core 1.5ghz device with 2gb ram & 16gb nand.  Its a Agptek T06S & i rooted it as all mediatek devices have unlocked bootloaders.

Anyway max background apps is 3 & I need to turn this device into the same memory habit Samsung devices have allowing lots of apps to run concurrently so I can heavily multi-task.

Thank you

How can we adjust this setting?  Set to 50.

mOverrideMaxCachedProcesses=3

Normaly in Developper setting their an option for background app but i can't remember exactly i think the limit is like 4.

The problem is ram mostly. Android kill background app to save ram since it do not really do ssd swap.

A device with 2GB of RAM may struggle if you increase background app count too far. To be fair, within reason, assuming you have a decent amount of RAM, Android handles the background apps really well.

Setting it to 50 will likely murder your device and will run poorly. Max I would set would be 10 considering the 2GB RAM.

I'd take 10 heck lol if I knew how to edit the os.  Dev options give max 4 it's useless.

You will need a rooted device, or perhaps a custom OS to change it further.
