Google removes 600 apps from Play Store due to disruptive ads

The company says developers of the software violated the company's disruptive ads policy and disallowed interstitial policy. The developers have also been banned from Google's AdMob and Ad Manager platforms.

Well that's good, I didn't think Google would do something like this. Especially because they profit off of those adverts.

Yeah, as long as they're actually removing apps that should be removed, then this is really nice to see. I have some faith, but at the same time I kind of want to see a list of which apps exactly were removed. I don't think there would be any harm in that considering the apps are no longer available.

A list would have been a better approach. Plus it would be better if apps are removed based off of user reports rather than machine based learning as depending on the machine learning, it could be too overzealous.

Absolutely, but perhaps with an official final sign-off before removing the app instead of a fully automated process. Imagine mass targeted reports to remove known apps from the store. Sounds like something 4chan would do; hilarious but also a complete nightmare.

Yeah you would hope that there is a level of validation before the apps get killed off, for some people this is also income so it has knock on effects

For sure. Automation in these systems is always a bit dangerous. Exhibit A: The dumpster fire that is Youtube monetization.
