Unfortunately one of the x399 boards is broken and the cards just will not play nice with the Z390 board and 9900k. I will be running half of the Teslas on Monday. so 5 million PPD lost until I can get a replacement x399 board.

Without the extra cards, I suspect I will be posting sub 3 million 3 hour updates.

4 updates in a row with more than 3 million points, not sure if I want to congratulate you or send that EMP... :classic_laugh:

Ha! And that is with 2 of the M40's on the sidelines! One of these days, when I get a hold of some 3 series cards (And it won't be just one) I'm not going to say anything. And hit you with a 5 million update!

12x16 office with no ventilation to achieve such a thing, but I'm going to hook up the ac for when it rains. You know, I could just install a screen door outside of my office door. I did a full pocket door with frame!

Haha, that would be so cool! (see what I did there? :classic_laugh:)

I doubt my boss would like it though, after a few coworkers leaving it's getting a bit out of control with how much work there is to do.

The 5700xt will be down for a bit cause I sold everything it needs to be online and I'm not sure what I'll do with it.
I was upgrading an old system for a coworker, and he was interested in some of the hardware I have. At some point we decided to just build a new system using hardware from me besides cleaning, rebuilding and upgrading his old system. I've never seen someone so stoked about a fast booting system, coming down from a few minutes to less than 10 seconds for the login screen to show up.

The 2080ti system is offline too, rebuilding and cleaning everything for better cooling and less noise.

EHW is still going strong in the team rankings, 222 and climbing ?

I've got to figure out where to put my RX 5700 to put it as new 24/7 hardware, my office doesn't have good cooling right now and getting some how weather now.

Those cards run pretty hot anyways, every bit of colder air is a bonus!

I'd like to get my waterblock back on my 5700xt anyways, the fans are driving me crazy. One of the reasons I'm rebuilding the Meshify S2 system so I can install the 2080ti in it, use water cooling and lower fan speeds to keep the noise down. That system is in my bedroom, so being quiet is a bonus :classic_biggrin:

Mines the Sapphire Pulse, no shortage of cooling on that thing.  It was mining for for a little bit at 60% fan speed and stayed under 90 C on the memory in a 4U case in a cabinet.

But alas, its 120 W was still an extra 120 W of heat in my office that does not sit well, so might be setting up a little garage PC build that can just sit in there with the exhaust out a window.

It might be me, but I hate to see anything over 60°C (I always set the max fan speed at 60°C). The core temp on the RX 5700XT Mech OC is fine, but the hot spot is over 90°C if it's running at 105% power limit, that is somewhere around 210W if I'm not mistaken. If I run it with a power limit of 85% the temps are way better and I don't need earplugs, but still too much for a "bedroom system".
If you google the Mech OC you will find a lot of hate and complaints about the quality of that card, a shame I had to choose it but I'll have to live with it until I sell it. Even water cooled the temps are higher than I expected them to be, but around 50°C is not too bad.

I don't remember what the memory temps were, and I never tried to mine on them which they seem to be good at (son of a tech runs 60? of them for eth). With F@H they were never high enough for me to remember the memory temps.

Power outage today so I lost a few hours on one of my rigs, but we're back up and running. Been a while (two years?) since I've had an outage here. Hopefully it'll be another two before the next.

*knocks on wood*

I can't remember the last time we've had a power outage, when it happens it's because of maintenance or someone hitting a line while digging.
