Xbox Error Code 0x82d40004

Recommended Posts

When I insert the game into my Xbox one system, I get error code 0x82d40004. I need help or information on how to resolve this issue. I changed the power settings, restarted the console (restarting 10/30 is not the usual shutdown). Anyone else has this problem or knows how to fix it.

Upon first look, this looks like a licensing thing where the Xbox needs to see the physical disk before launching. I see you say you inserted it. Are you sure it can read the disk ? Is the disk clean without any major scratches ?

Can we assume it is only the one game it does this with, or is it with all ? If it is all then you could be looking at an optical drive issue whereby it can no longer read disks properly or at all, which would cause a launch failure.

Note this is also mentioned here : https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/e...ode-0x82D40004

Also just moved this to the console section :)
