Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding!

 

Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you).

 

Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding.

Putting up a brand new keyboard for this month, it's really nice. We have one ourselves.

 

It is the Rosewill K85 mechanical keyboard, full programmable RGB lighting, it also lights up on the sides, and comes with clone blue MX switches made by Kailh. It is super clicky. ABS keycaps though unfortunately, as opposed to PBT. Since the RGB lighting is in the switch (I think), this would be a very good board to put PBT pudding keycaps or maybe clear keycaps on and some O-Rings.

Okay so a few things about the keyboard. I opened it up and broke it's seal so technically it's not NIB, because I wanted to test the lighting and test every individual key to make sure the board works fine as I don't want to send anyone here a defective product. Anyway, it passed with flying colors. Only took around 5 minutes to test it.

 

I also bought and will include a keycap puller and some blue O-Rings in the box as this board really needs them, the keycaps bottom out and hit the metal plate otherwise, so you'll also have a project to do with it!

I've updated the prize list.  @neurotix's keyboard prize has been updated to an open box prize.  It has about 10 minutes of use while he was testing the keyboard.  He will also be including blue o-rings and a keycap puller.

So I just switched a few rigs back over to EHW from LTT. Was checking the stats and realized I finally hit a few milestones. top 1k, and over 3 billion points. After our event I plan to swap back to LTT to finish out their month of folding challenge. Then I'll be back to EHW full time. 

 

It's wild to think about how much more PPD newer hardware puts out and how much more points the WUs are worth. The measly 500k I folded with no team was over a decade ago just doing on idle CPU folding and I don't remember how long I did that but it was probably over a year to hit that.

 

Comparing LTT vs OCN it's interesting because in just a couple weeks I well surpassed over a year of participating in the monthly foldathons at OCN. 

 

 

So I just came home for a few hours between flights to pet my kitties, do a load of laundry, and take a quick nap before getting on another plane. I've got a couple rigs folding but I won't be around to do any last second shenanigans slapping extra rigs together to slip by anybody at the end this month. Good luck, have fun.
