How to force an AC Wifi adapter to Share Hotspot @ 2.4Ghz rather 5Ghz?

Hi i was wondering how do u force an adapter to work on the 2.4ghz band only rather than the 5ghz band so you can share your connection with a 2.4ghz device, near by?

Normally the setting would be right there, to select the band.

 

what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to wirelessly connect two devices directly, like plugging an Ethernet cable directly into two computers?

Windows is SUPPOSED to have that feature built in, however I was never able to get it to work properly on anything past like Win7.  I use Connectify these days to make it work (I use LAN out, but you can use any NIC).
