Folding@Home Reaches 2.4 exaFLOPS Of Computing Power

Amazing !

 

With our collective power, we are now at ~2.4 exaFLOPS (faster than the top 500 supercomputers combined)! We complement supercomputers like IBM Summit, which runs short calculations using 1000s of GPUs at once, by spreading longer calculations around the world in smaller chunks!

This is going to go up even more. Every time it makes the news that they've got a new record, more people start folding. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they've broken the 10 exaflops barrier by the end of May. Especially now that it's so easy to set up F@H.

Am on advanced and next-unit to 100 and am getting no more work unit in the last 24 hour with my 5700xt and rx 580 :angry_throw:

They have been struggling to get WU's out but my CPU still gets WU's and GPU's are starting to get them again.
